NXT is in an empty Full Sail as we begin the matches that would have been held at the now cancelled Takeover: Tampa Bay on Saturday. As ever, please read the forum discussion rules for this show and AEW Dynamite on the WWE section of the board.
This week's Takeover match sees the North American Championship on the line in a big beefy Triple Threat Match, with Keith Lee defending the title against his great rival Dominik Dijakovic, and also the Archer of Infamy Damian Priest. Both big men have been bothering Lee for some time, with Dijakovic almost winning the title in Portland. Will either Dijakovic or Priest claim the title tonight, or will Lee bask in his glory even further?
The Velveteen Dream wants a shot at Adam Cole's NXT Championship, but Cole believes Dream hasn't earned it yet, so tonight Dream goes one on one with Cole's fellow Undisputed ERA member Bobby Fish. Unlike with Roderick Strong in the cage, Dream can't throw this one away, he needs to defeat Fish to be in the conversation for a title shot - will he set up his date with destiny tonight?
One spot remains in next week's Ladder Match to determine the number one contender for the NXT Women's Championship, which this time next week will either be held by Rhea Ripley or Charlotte Flair. And to get that spot, each challenger has to run the Second Chance Gauntlet. Shotzi Blackheart, Dakota Kai, Deonna Purrazzo, Aliyah, Xia Li and Kayden Carter will all bid to get to the end in order to join Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, Io Shirai and Candice LeRae in next week's Ladder Match - who gets the luck of the draw, and who has to endure the entire gauntlet to get their chance?
Next week will be the end of the three year long rivalry between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (and about time too), as they will enter an empty warehouse to finish it all. What's more, Triple H has added the stipulation that if they carry on fighting beyond this match, both will be fired. How will both men prepare for the final battle, and what involvement will the man known elsewhere as Killer Kross have, as he revealed himself in a cryptic promo during their segment last week?
All this, and possible involvement from Malcolm Bivens and his new monster team, tonight from 8/7c on USA in the States and BT Sport in the UK and Ireland!
