The vast majority of these people are new to me. Of the two episodes that have aired, I've actually seen 2 people before (LA Park and Pentagon Jr.). Some folks I've heard of but never seen (Dr. Wagner Jr., Lady Shani, Faby Apache) but everyone else I'm coming in with no prior exposure to. And I'm having fun! Really? Your signature would have led me to believe you were more into Lucha. I love Santo and Blue Demon from their movies. I loved when WCW brought in luchadores back in the day and I've enjoyed the folks that have come North to wrestle on occasion, but for whatever reason I've just never gotten full-bore into lucha. Though thanks to these shows, I'm starting to.

Mask match between one of four sets of tag team partners (It will either be, Drago Vs Aerostar, Dave The Clown Vs. La Parka Negra, Mysteziz Jr. Vs Octagon Jr. or most interestingly (but least likely) Fenix Vs. Pentagon.) There will also likely be another big apuesta match as the main event. Either Rush Vs. Psycho Clown, or possibly (Although unlikely) Blue Demon Jr. Vs LA Park.

Oh joy, Big Mami is here. At least we're getting her out of the way now.

Hiedra improved a lot to get a passable match out of Mami.

Hiedra improved a lot to get a passable match out of Mami. See, Mami's had one singles match that was actually good, and that was the hair vs hair match against Maravilla. In that case it was more the product of the build than the action.

Big Mami works when she's got a crowd to play to and she can hit a few spots in the middle of a team match; this tournament really doesn't play to her strengths.
Mind you, outside Taya (who I assume can't travel to/from Mexico under current circumstances), pretty much the entire AAA womens' division is in this tournament, so they had to take who they could get.

Some day I would like to see Shani vs Hikaru Shida Given the relationship of AAA and AEW, it's not hard to imagine you may get your wish one day.

So our last two matches tonight are going to be some combination of LA Park, Dr Wagner, Pentagon, and Hijo del Vikingo.
This is gonna be pretty damn good.
