The first time Necro showed up on my radar was when he was a local guy (long before his ROH stuff) in a horrific bloodbath with...Abdullah the Butcher. Given that Hep-C targets the liver, my mind wants to play all sorts of connect-the-dots on that, but I digress. Godspeed to the man, and hope he's doing better than what we believe. The “Battle of the Butchers”, in Taylor MI? I chatted with him after a show in a Knights of Columbus hall in Hamtramck, MI. One of the nicest wrestlers I’ve met. Talking to him was like talking to the nicest pot smoking cool college professor. One of my friends asked if he blades, and Necro said “If you can show me on that tape where I blades I’ll suck your dick.” Sucks to see him in such rough shape.

Let's say Necro's interaction with Abdullah back in 2000 was the transmission point for his disease. I know it can take years for the disease to show through bloodwork but it's hard to think that it went roughly 18 years before showing up at all. There's usually some heightened liver enzymes that pop up along the way that get the doctors attention. I know that DJ Hyde (owner of CZW) always had blood tests done for any of the deathmatch wrestlers in CZW's Tournament of Death. Necro competed in several of the TOD's so he was apparently able to pass a blood test up until at least 2008, at TOD VII. It's just so sad to see a once near indestructible badass reduced to such a frail figure in such a short amount of time.

Not even sure what the point of this was; you're making a one-sided argument there. I qualified what I said with a very clear statement that it was my mind playing games with that knowledge.

It's not over til it's over, but God almighty I was looking for him throughout that video and it took me forever to realize that he was the skinny bald man.
Poor guy.

Madison, I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "that it was my mind playing games with that knowledge", I really don't. I wasn't arguing with you or trying to pick apart anything you said. I'm just a saddened wrestling fan trying to figure out what happened to the poor guy. I was only stating some facts, and dates, to put things in perspective about his deathmatch career. If something I typed is offensive in some way, or is some how against the rules, that was not my intent at all.

Nothing offensive at all, just seemed you were concreting my statement as "that's when it happened" with the dates and facts you provided to show otherwise, while I had already dismissed that notion myself. No worries. Now, with that said, given all the bloody matches both of them had over the years, *if* that's what's going on with Necro, I would by no means surprised if it was still Abdullah that was patient zero in the whole thing, even indirectly, over the span of years. Abby passes it on this guy who passes on to that guy who passes it on to whoever who then passes it on to NB. That's strictly conjecture, but given what we know about Abdullah, it would not shock me in the least. And with that said, we still don't really know what's going on, so everything's conjecture and speculation.

I wasn't really trying to speculate, and sorry if it came off that way, but more solidify the sequence of events in my mind, that's all. I just wish the best to Necro Butcher, and his loved ones, during such a trying ordeal.

Funnily enough not too long ago I watched that induction video and was wondering who the old looking skinny guy was and where was Necro Butcher.
Couldn't believe it was him!

He looked well into his 70's or 80's. Looking like you're rapidly aging is generally a liver or kidney failure sort of thing right?

He looked well into his 70's or 80's. Looking like you're rapidly aging is generally a liver or kidney failure sort of thing right? There's a lot of things that can bring about that type of "false" aging. Some cancers, extremely poor nutrition intake, drug use (especially the meth kind), bad genetics. It is often something that comes with the failures of those organs, yes, but not exclusive to them by any means.
