As expected, I am too invested into the business management game

I’ve played priced DLC that had less to do in them than the Yakuza mini games. It’s crazy how much fun and addictive the cabaret, real estate, and business management games are.

Rule number 1: If Yakuza gives you a mini game to make easy money, max it out
I finished business management in LAD and essentially going to odee on the money. Got it to about $20 Million something (not including $10 million I got in the bank) so I can fully max out Love Warehouse which cost a f*** ton of money for last upgrade
Keep in mind still only in Chapter 5 and I already went to all the shops and got the weapons I could
Money won't be a problem for rest of the game which I read. I just got to get the materials for the weapons, armor etc

In the last bits of Dead Souls and I am so done. The novelty of a Yakuza zombie shooter has worn off completely, the quarantine zone is so massive and you can't get a taxi anywhere so it grows so f***ing tedious, with only one or two save points in the game.
To top it off, just did Kiryu's subterranean mission, got through 30 floors of tedium and got one-hit killed off the Amon boss before I could even do anything, before I even had time to dodge. I'm not doing anymore side content, I'm just getting through the final story and I am then putting this game aside to ignore for the rest of time. There's a reason RGG never bothered remastering this turd.

Progressing through LAD {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} I know Nanba wants to see his brother but homie going to the bench when he comes back to the group
Also, good thing I did all the Management mini game and had Eri as a party member when Nanba left cause the part of the game would def been harder. Even tho Eri herself don't factor in the story at all

I can see why people would be trapped off at that point and the game would take a sharp difficulty curve

So, Lost Judgement has introduced a character who might represent what the future of the games might feature. {Spoiler}There is a new type of criminal element forming in Japan called Hangure, which are basically criminal organizations similar to the Yakuza, but without it's old-fashioned trappings like the "Father and Sons" dynamic, operating in the open, or having Irezumi tattoos. So, with the Tojo and Omi now gone, I'd imagine these new Hangure groups will fill the void of power, and eventually make trouble for ol' Ichi.

A good portion through LAD {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} Okay, I give them credit for how they brought back Nanba. He is still a shit head but Ichi is a good MC and makes you want to forgive people

Is Nugget the best character in Yakuza? Yes.

Getting closer to the end
Ichiban is usually the idiot type protagonist I hate in games but they do a really good job with his character and make you want to see some type of happy ending for him

F***
At the final boss of the game, got the health down to like 30% and somehow get hit with a shot while i'm at full HP that kills me and it is the first time I died all game. I say f*** it and turn it off thinking I got an autosave and I turn it back on to see I got to start all the way from the beginning

Dead Souls needs a remaster badly or a sequel Nagoshi has pretty much outright confirmed they're never going to touch Dead Souls ever again since it totally bombed both in Japan and overseas.

That would need a full remake Or do something and make it like a full House of The Dead type shooter in the arcade you can play

Yeah, that pissed me off That's like getting hit with a lucky KO in persona when you are in a dungeon and it f***s up all your progress. My characters are leveled for it but I'm too mad to attempt it again right now

Finished Yakuza LAD
Really enjoyed it and is one of my favorite in the series. Some good callbacks but you really don't have to have any knowledge of the previous games to enjoy it but playing the older ones does make it better
Look forward to the sequel and Ichiban comes across as a worthy successor to Kiryu

So, for those curious, a year before LAD was released in Japan, the studio launched a free to play online game simply called RGG Online, you can read more about it here: www.gamepressure.com/games/yakuza-online/zd50b6While it's added more story since then, the original was about the same as LAD, but with Arakawa and Sawashiro as the main baddies then Aoki, and taking place solely in Kamurocho. There were also prototype versions of Tendo and Ishioda, along with a American con on the run who joined them. Also, in it, Sawashiro's irezumi was a silver version of Ichiban's koi dragon.
