So Dream is gonna blame lumis and transition into that feud. Okay Not bad Dream needs to be a heel and Lumis has a match in mindgames department

For once, it wasn’t the best NXT. I like Johnny Gargano’s new music since Rebel Heart didn’t fit his new character. Dominik Dijakovic VS Johnny Gargano was an excellent match to kick off NXT. Akira Tozawa VS Jack Gallagher was a great match, but it sucks that Tozawa is treated as a jobber on Raw, while he wins on NXT. I like that WWE finally mentioned Covid-19 in their Real Heroes Video, which is cool. Xia Li VS Chelsea Green was a horrible match. The Velveteen Dream’s promo was OK. Though I only care about the in ring action, Karrion Kross’ entrance was cool & different, & his match was a good way to debut him. Io Shirai VS Charlotte Flair was a great match. I didn’t like the finish, but it makes sense to continue the feud, adding Rhea Ripley to the mix too. Kushida VS Jake Atlas was a good match, but I wish it was longer. Finn Balor’s promo was weird, since he’s not the type of guy to use lingo like push or squash. Denzel Dejournette VS Cameron Grimes was a waste of time, but I do like the idea of him feuding with Finn Balor. The Velveteen Dream VS Adam Cole was a disappointment. They needed more than 10 minutes with a commercial break & the finish was a complete cluster.
Here are the Facts & Stats for NXT: - Dominik Dijakovic VS Johnny Gargano was Dijakovic’s 1st NXT match since April 1 & his 1st opener since February 26 & was Gargano’s 1st NXT match since April 8 & his 1st opener of 2020 - Akira Tozawa VS Jack Gallagher was Tozawa’s 1st NXT since April 15 & he was the 1st wrestler since himself & Tehuti Miles on April 13 & 15 to compete on both Raw & NXT in the same week, Gallagher’s 1st NXT since April 22, & was the 5th 1-on-1 Match between Tozawa & Gallagher, with their 1st match taking place at the Cruiserweight Classic on August 7, 2016 & their last match taking place on 205 Live on August 13, 2019, with Tozawa winning now all 5 matches - Xia Li VS Chelsea Green was Green’s 1st NXT since April 8 & was Li’s 1st NXT since April 15 - Leon Ruff VS Karrion Kross was Kross’ NXT debut & was Ruff’s 1st NXT since he lost to The Forgotten Sons on December 4, 2019 - Io Shirai VS Charlotte Flair was the 4th NXT Women’s Championship Match of 2020, the 1st since WrestleMania 36 on April 5, & the 1st on NXT since Rhea Ripley VS Shayna Baszler on December 19, 2019, the 1st time since July 29 & August 5, 2015 that Flair wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, she was the 1st since Tehuti Miles & Akira Tozawa on April 13 & 15 where multiple people compete on both Raw & NXT in the same week, Shirai’s 1st NXT match since April 8, & though she lost by Disqualification, it was Flair’s 1st successful Title Defense, giving her more successful title defenses than Kairi Sane who lost the Women’s Title to Shayna Baszler in her only title defense at Evolution on October 28, 2018, Shirai was only the 5th person that Flair has defended the NXT Women’s Title against, as in her 1st reign which lasted 7 defenses, she defended against Summer Rae, twice against Bayley, 3 times against Sasha Banks, & then lost title in a Fatal 4-Way to Banks, along with Bayley & Becky Lynch, was the 4th week in a row that NXT had 2 Women’s Matches, & was the 22nd Disqualification of 2020, the 1wst since Smackdown on May 1, & the 1st on NXT since February 5 - Jake Atlas VS Kushida was both Atlas & Kushida’s 1st NXT match since April 22 - Denzel Dejournette VS Cameron Grimes was Grimes’ 1st NXT since March 25 & was Dejournette’s NXT debut - The Velveteen Dream VS Adam Cole was the 2nd NXT Championship Match of 2020, the 1st since NXT Takeover: Portland on February 16 & the 1st on NXT TV since Cole defeated Finn Balor on December 19, 2019, both Dream & Cole’s 1st NXT match & main event since April 22, Cole’s 1st Singles Match on NXT TV since he defeated Kushida on February 12, was Cole’s 9th televised defense, giving him the 2nd most NXT Title Defenses after Adrian Neville who had 10 & he never defended the title against the same person multiple times - This was the 2nd week in a row that NXT did not have a Tag Team Match

Xia/Chelsea was a nothing match but I’m impressed they’re doing something with the Robert Stone Brand story.

Finn Balor’s promo was weird, since he’s not the type of guy to use lingo like push or squash. He's used words like that since he's come back to NXT. His feud with Gargano had a lot of that. I loved Kross' entrance, but honestly, my favorite moment might have been Grimes running down Balor and we see Balor come marching down to the ring with Grimes unaware, then Balor gets in the ring and Grimes slowly realizes he's right there. That got a good laugh out of me.

With the chronic lack of star power on Raw, I'm somewhat amazed Finn hasn't been called back up. It's not like NXT really needs him. Going to NXT was his idea and something he worked out with Triple H. Apparently he was completely miserable on the main roster shows.

But if they mapped out a plan for something for him to do, and said he could go back to NXT afterwards, I don't see why he wouldn't go for it. It's all being done in the same building after all. I suppose it's a general bafflement as to why what was the main brand is limping along with talent who've never been able to get over, while NXT is so stacked (Balor, Gargano, Ciampa, Keith Lee, Cole, Dream, Riddle, Kross).
