I need to get back to it. I played the first three chapters or so when they put it up on Gamepass and then it just wound up completely sidelined. Once you get to The Business Minigame, you won't ever have to worry about money. It's also important to get Eri early as well.

I love all the Yakuza games and series but honestly im not really enjoying this one as much as i shoud, its lovely looking, great areas to explore, combat is fresh and the characters are cool but there is something im not really enjoying about it and i cant even explain why. Perhaps a lot of the side stuff is the same as it has always been (same old batting cage in a new area, same arcade games, same types of side quests etc) bar the mario kart mini game which isnt that fun to play for me or i might simply just be tired of the Yakuza series on the whole. I am certainly enjoying Judgement and lost judgment more then Like a dragon now, though that to suffers from some of the same old mini game and side stuff,i think im just worn out with the side bits and bobs of these games by the sounds of it!

I had such a blast playing this. Give me all of the weird side quests. I'd happily play a game that is just the weird side quests, tbh.

I really adored this game. Like I never really got into this series before (though I do own the original on PS2 and Yakuza 0 on PS4), but I had a lot of fun exploring Yokohama and messing with the job system of this game.

It is a really fun game
They found something with the turned based RPG gimmick and it should be better tweaked for the eventual sequel. A game I would def recommend but you can't go wrong with any of the new age Yakuza games in general

Also, goddamn is Isezaki-Ijincho huge. I looked up a comparison of maps for all the locales in the series, and it's about three times bigger then Kamurocho!

Bumping because Ive just finished this game and need to say how freakin’ wrong I was about it As soon as they announced it was becoming turn based I immediately said nope not for me especially with the protagonist change but when I was trading some games in I had credit left over and just said fine I guess and man was I wrong. This game was awesome and I had such a blast playing it even the stuff like the management game. Normally with these games whilst I enjoy them I find them overly long and the substories annoy my OCD because I find they just get in the way but this time I actively sought them out because I wanted an excuse to keep playing I’m up to 78 hours and if I didn’t have a massive backlog I’d probably do more of the games, part time hero missions etc but I could defo see myself coming back to it at some point One of the rare times when a series changing its formula entirely paid off.
