Anyone in the UK who had the AstraZeneca jab might want to check the batch number of your vaccine if you plan on travelling this summer (particularly the EU). Basically, certain batches of the AZ jab were produced in India and this manufacturer has not been approved by the EU. There’s about five million doses that were shipped here. Essentially, it’s the exact same components of every other AZ vaccines (and I’ve seen no reports suggesting it’s not as effective) it’s just that it was manufactured elsewhere. On the back of your vaccine card there should be the batch number(s). Check and see it’s one of those affected. They’re listed here

69% of the Irish Population is now fully vaccinated.
If only there was a term for that used in response to such a number.
