Triple H has a sordid story by itself.Dude may not be an abuser but he is not above helping them. Please keep this to what we know and have been told without insinuating anything off-track from that. Would the Demott Case be considered relevant? Triple H was not directly reported IIRC in it but he was not directly reported in the case but it feels like the core issue of both is the same.

This is unsurprising given his handling of DeMott, who only ended up out once he quit with the excuse of wanting to basically make this go away for WWE. Don't know if Trips and WWE were intending to cover for DeMott forever, or if they enticed him to leave on his own for some kind of compensation or benefit. Of course he wouldn't want to rock the boat.

While probability would suggest that men in a position of power = abuse happening. This is a five year old allegation of basically nothing, amounting to - HHH covered up, to an unknowm extent, unknown crimes of unknown severity which were prepetrated by unknown assailants on unknown victims in unknown places at unknown times.
I'm not sure why it's even being discussed.

Because during a time where abuse is being brought to the forefront and talked about, someone in the company is saying that abuse went on in WWE and was covered up. Just because isn't a clear and direct course of action doesn't mean that isn't a statement that can be discussed.

Doesn’t matter when it happened, as pro wrestling has a long and storied history of covering up the bad behavior of their employees independent contractors.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I am pretty sure that Demote was Triple His handpicked trainer when he took over developmental so there is some things to take into consideration Demott was regarded as one of Triple H's "boys", and we'd had view before of cameras set up around the Performance Center hooked up to monitors that Triple H could watch from his office just to see how things were going. It's real hard to imagine this caught people off guard. I think at its most charitable you can call it negligence to not look into the internal accusations that had been building for years.

It would not surprise me at all if he covered up one or many potential scandals. He's leeched off of anyone and everyone he could the past 25 years to get to the highest point in WWE outside of his own wife and father in law. The keys to the kingdom are in his hands and Stephanie's. He would most likely stop at nothing to keep the position of power. He's not letting go of the power he does have and the potential future power.

There's a difference between Papa H on NXT and Paul Levesque.
As much as we think we know, there's way more happening behind closed doors than we could ever imagine.
Dirt sheets will never tell the whole story. Shoot interviews will never tell the whole story.
Nothing in the entertainment business is clean.
Would I be surprised that HHH is, was or has covered something up? Hell no I wouldn't.

I don't believe Ryan Nemeth (who has been very vocal on this topic generally) has made any other similar allegations, nor elaborated on this. Nobody has supported his comments, nor made their own allegations about HHH during this period.

Post came out a bit garbled on the time and 'is saying' bit, but again though; as the idea of widespread abuse and addressing it becomes a huge topic in wrestling circles, are the ways Triple H may have been complicit in letting abuse, some of which we absolutely have allegations over in the past, go on not a reasonable thing to discuss? Even if what Nemeth is talking about here isn't Bill Demott-related, we do have that situation and it might be worth looking back on and talking about. I don't understand the reasoning behind going into a discussion just to hold that we shouldn't be having the discussion because you don't think it's worth having.

I don't believe I've said that anyone shouldn't be having this discussion. I don't know what there is to be discussed - with less than zero detail any argument on whether HHH was complicit in covering up jail-worthy abuse towards female wrestlers can only be based on spurious reasoning. To say he did, he didn't, he could have, he might've done... just seems like having an opinion for the sake of it. And this particular allegation hasn't gone anywhere in over half a decade. But now I've made that point, I'll back out.

I mean it's pretty much common knowledge that he liked Bill Demott and turned a blind eye to his abuses for years. WWE has a lot of skeletons that deserve to be dragged into the light.

Triple H brought DeMott back to NXT when he was appointed to oversee it, knowing of his record at DSW. Triple H was in charge when guys were dropping like flies, suffering career ending injuries before getting a sniff of the main roster thanks to abusive drills designed to punish talent and cause wear and tear doing things over and over and over in a way they would never do in a match. Triple H was in charge when complaints made through the proper channels were handed directly to those who were being complained about, so they could punish and cut them for not progressing. When people like Jane Geddes tried to help, they were moved from their position while DeMott remained... Wonder who HHHad the influence needed to unseat a VP to protect an abusive stooge... Guess we'll never know.
Seriously though, people quickly forgot how Hunter was very much at the heart of all the problems with NXT once DeMott was gone and he started posing for photos with that guy or gal they like from NXT. A guy or gal he didn't train, book, scout, sign, assign a gimmick to... But he posed for a picture, so that's something.

From what I've read, there were other coaches in the PC circa the DeMott era who were pretty awful in their own ways, up to and including harassing the women they were coaching.
Whether or not Triple H had a role in keeping those guys there, or whether or not he was proactive in dismissing them when allegations came to light, I have no idea, but the "covering for DeMott until it became a very publicized story" thing doesn't fill me with hope.

Furthermore, if Triple H was covering things up 5 years ago with no repercussions, then in all likelihood he's still doing similar things today. That's what criminals do. Go until they get caught.

No clue of the veracity of this(no reason to doubt it), but regardless, creeping ever closer to the inner workings of the WWE... I would be surprised if by the end of the year we didn't get accusations against both the staff and main roster guys. I think it's going to take a big name to finally get everyone else to come out, and people to start listening and taking things seriously. Wrestling is no different than Hollywood. You had Corey Feldman for years telling everyone exactly what was going on in Hollywood, and everyone laughed at him. Courtney Love called Harvey Weinstein out on the red carpet, and people paid no mind because it was Courtney Love. Soon as some big names said something, then BOOM... all of a sudden people were willing to listen to the stories.

Yeah, If Charlotte Flair or Sasha Banks started talking about harassment, the flood gates would open.
