What a moment when Powers of Pain did the double turn, and they helped Mr. Fuji back on his feet and dusted him off. Then the Warlord handed Mr. Fuji his bowler hat respectfully, wow, that is the stuff of legend.

I thought he was Goldberg at first. Did anybody else think the same?

I wonder how he feels about being part of this (digital) card set. Loved the Warlord; really don’t remember this vest thing though. Actually was into the battle of the full Nelson’s he had.

I was more impresssed that he was in WCW in the mid 90s as Super Assassins who where the Powers of Pain under a mask.

He had the full W outfit for a while prior to that. I guess WWF thought he would do something better under Harvey but it wasn't meant to be. Warlord was a good company guy so I imagine he would have stayed as long as WWF would have him.

I thought this outfit & the "wand" were gone by the time Harvey became his manager, later in 91 - under Harvey, he was basically just a big guy without any of these (ridiculous) accessories. Warlord vanished right when he had to - early-to-mid 1992 when the steroid scandal was about to blow up. He was not a guy to be on the roster during the build up to that.

Blue Blazer vs The Warlord. It's no wonder the crossover of comic and wrestling fans is so high--match title sounds like it could be a comic. The cross body into powerslam is badass. m.youtube.com/watch?v=23UEr3tFruk

Met him last year. Very nice guy. I explained to the friend I was with, who was born after it happened, Warlord was the very first Survivor Series team where no member got eliminated (he was selling an 8x10 of the Visionaries), he puffed his chest out and said “That’s right. First team!” I was gonna buy a PoP shirt off him but he wouldn’t sell because he only had 3XL left and I am a large.
Good guy.

Yeah, I thought that too. He still sported the trunks, but the vest thing, wand and Phantom facemask were gone. I LOVED the mask btw. Made him THAT much cooler than Barbarian and his antler hat thing.

I love how he is Batista's favorite wrestler ever. That automatically makes him the grand sire of the FAN community!

Seriously one of the most badass looks in all of wrestling. They should've built him and The Barbarian up as title challengers during Warrior's reign. I always thought both these guys could wipe the floor with Hogan and Warrior.

Why didn't we have Powers of Pain in WCW? No idea. At first I thought maybe legal reasons. But They have for years used those names. Maybe not Powers of Pain. They still used Warlord and Barbarian. Faces of Fear came only months after this. Warlord disappeared.
