I think Shorty G is a runner up on this one at least.

I prefer geek to "____ is a bitch" threads since, I dunno. A geek is very here and in the now. A geek can improve, while bitch feels more inescapable.

I’m a bit iffy on this too, mostly because it just becomes one of the many terms that get spammed to death whenever someone looks even remotely weak.

Not a big fan of it but chalk me up as another person that finds it better than calling a wrestler a bitch for losing

The problem with that, of course, is that "geek" has a somewhat different meaning nowadays in popular culture from what it might have done in the past within the pro wrestling culture.
And WWE has its fair share of the video-game and TTRPG-playing, comic-reading, Lego-building, and cosplaying kind of geeks. Hence, the ensuing confusion, I think.

See I dunno; nerd has been reclaimed as word so it no longer has the same connotation as it did, if you call someone a geek then you're still at least tacitly calling them a loser.

It's basically another word for "bum"
"Man, Ziggler has lost 500 times now. Man's a geek."
It just sounds funny haha

While I think the term is good for what it is used for, I agree with this. It's one of those weird things about Alvarez that suggests that he has a very specific idea of who his target audience is.

In which case, I would hope that Alvarez would try to work in some newer term like "bum" or "chump" to distinguish the loser-geeks from the UpUpDownDown crew.
