Here's my Preview for NXT Takeover XXX
An excellent NXT. I can’t wait for Saturday’s Takeover. Ridge Holland VS Johnny Gargano was an excellent match. It showed what Holland can do and that bump that Gargano took was scary and couldn’t tell if it was real or not. Jessi Kamea VS Dakota Kai was good and wasn’t a squash like I thought it would be. Kai’s promo afterward was good, as was the brawl with Io Shirai & the surprise return of Raquel Gonzalez. Tegan Nox’s promo was good, as was the video on Finn Balor VS The Velveteen Dream. The 6-Man Tag was fun until the disjointed finish. I thought Scott would win to set up a Cruiserweight Title Match at Takeover. I like the idea of the addition of the Triple Threat #1 Contender’s Match for the Pre-Show of Takeover since they usually don’t have matches on the Pre-Show and it gives Breezango, Burch & Lorcan, & Mendoza & Wilde something to do. The only good thing about the Adam Cole-Pat McAfee Segment was it gave me time to update my records from the 6-Man Tag and finalize my Takeover Preview Page. Shotzi Blackheart & Rhea Ripley VS Aliyah & Mercedes Martinez was good. The video on Keith Lee VS Karrion Kross was top notch and got me excited for Takeover. Finn Balor VS The Velveteen Dream was a great match until the cluster of a finish. They didn’t need anything with the rest of the participants for the Ladder Match.
