Not a fan. He’s ring good yeah, but every time I see him, he’s super Cringe. That air guitar thing and some mannerism are too much, like he thinks he’s cool but doesn’t realize the cringe. If that was played up I’d be fine with it, but it’s being played straight, as if he was a total badass, and I just don’t like it. Like I said... I think that is kinda the point. That he thinks he's this super cool dude... but it's absolutely lame. The lack of self awareness if it was obvious that was intended I’d be fine, but again, it’s being played straight. As in it feels like it’s supposed to be cool/badass to the viewer rather than the lack of self awareness is my problem. I actually really like Undisputed Era but Kyle O’Reilly is the only one that gives me cringe vibes. Like he the person, not the character, thinks he’s really cool and bad ass.

I'm curious why he thinks it's safe to return since he's getting Full Sail and not Thunderdome but maybe he's at lower risk than he thought.

Yeah, I would keep Kayla Braxton far away from Cool Kyle.

I remember when the funniest thing about Kyle was when a streamer hit him in the eye after he won an epic climactic feud, it's so good to see how much of a goof he's become since his generic indy days. "Generic indy days?" Sleazy Kyle, begs your pardon. Shit, I forgot his amazing moments in PWG. My favourite was him and Bobby Fish in disguise as Dalton Castle’s boys.

I'm ok with that, good way to give someone new a shot and O'Reily is damn good. Him vs Balor should be great

While we're on the subject, loved the gauntlet match. Even more than either of the Tuesday night vacant NXT title matches.

I'm beyond stoked for this, I've been following/a fan of Kyle since around 2013 or so, and dude is gonna kill it at Takeover.
If there's anyone I wanna see NXT Champion it's him. I know he's not gonna win, but if he did, I'd mark so hard. He's the new blood we could use in the main event scene, he's verstaile as hell (giggity?) and he could have great matches with everyone.
And it'd make the relationship with UE really interesting.
Don't get me wrong I still love Balor, but KOR as champ would be a shot of adrenaline to the main event scene that's sorely needed. And while he can still go in the ring, Balor feels like he's on auto-pilot.

I feel like it's being done to start the UE break up rather than to elevate anyone.
Calling it now, Adam does a run in, it goes wrong, Kyle loses and blames Adam and bang, UE implosion.
It's going to be be a banging match, but I dont think it's going to lead to anything more than that, at least initially.

I see Roddy getting jealous, costing (accidentally on purpose) Kyle the match, they implode and fued in the midcard, Adam Cole just f***s off and becomes a top babyface, whilst Bobby Fish sits sadly in the corner twirling his moustache.

That match did a good job of elevating him into the main event. He still could have done with more build up but I’m sure the Balor match will be great and like the Reigns v Jey Uso match its a fresh match that I’m intrigued to see where it goes.

I think Fergal's been through a shit-ton of changes in the last eighteen months that we've no idea about. What we see these days is not the brash, cocky-angry Prince Devitt of New Japan. There's something darker going on, and I'm not sure that it's just a character shift. A light has gone out in him.

Or Finn is just taking it easy
The man made the decision to go to NXT because it is lighter for him. He's almost 40. He just got married last year. He doesn't have to break his body for maximum pops, he's not lazy Nakamura mode but I wouldn't blame him for wanting to take it easy
Other then that as I said before, i'm not worried about Finn. He was always NXT backup plan and not on TV every week because he didn't need to be. Now, they need him and he steps in as the champ. Simple and effective

I Actually think this NXT run has been Finn’s best in-ring work of his entire WWE tenure.

I Actually think this NXT run has been Finn’s best in-ring work of his entire WWE tenure. People are confusing his booking on TV and not looking at what they see Finn has been more motivated in ring then he has in a while. He's changed it up in ways people wanted him to do for years as The Demon Character wise you can argue against that but overall the man has delivered
