Come to think of it, the Women's division in NXT is quite good at the moment. It has been the best thing in WWE since around October of last year and it has not changed. It is the best and most consistent division in WWE and best womens division across any company IMO. The second line in particular I agree with.

Another excellent NXT. I love the idea of the NXT Title Match between Finn Balor & Adam Cole as the opening match. If it would have been the main event, then you would know exactly how time is left, so you would be anticipating the finish. It was so awesome that I wouldn’t mind it if it went the full 2 hours and all of the matches that were scheduled could have been pushed back to next week. Balor VS Cole was amazing. If you didn’t like that match, then stop watching wrestling forever. I love the sportsmanship with Adam Cole congratulating Finn Balor. Interesting segment with Io Shirai, Aliyah, Shotzi Blackheart, & Robert Stone They should just do the Intergender match between Blackheart & Stone and be done with it. Also, love the tease for a Blackheart VS Shirai Match. The segment with Tegan Nox & Candice LeRae was a little weird. The Timothy Thatcher segment was good to continue Thatcher's feud with Damian Priest. The Velveteen Dream VS Ashante Adonis, the former Tehuti Miles, was basically a squash, but it was cool that they gave Adonis some hope spots. I love Kushida attacking him. The video package on Breezango VS Imperium was really good and their NXT Tag Team Title Match should be great next week. I didn’t like the segment with Nox & LeRae. Bronson Reed VS Austin Theory was really good. I liked Mercedes Martinez’ promo, as well was Rhea Ripley’s promo earlier. Killian Dain VS Roderick Strong was good, as was the post match stuff. The Steel Cage Match between Rhea Ripley & Mercedes Martinez was excellent. Both women worked hard.
Here are the Facts & Stats for NXT: - Finn Balor VS Adam Cole was the 8th NXT Championship Match of 2020 & the 2nd week in a row on NXT, the 1st time since January 22 & 29 that Balor wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, the 1st time since February 3 & 12 that Cole wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, Balor’s 1st opener since April 15, Cole’s 1st NXT opener of 2020, & they were the 1st wrestlers to go from the NXT main event to the following week’s opener, the 1st time an NXT Championship Match opened up NXT since December 18, 2019, which was also Finn Balor VS Adam Cole, making this their 2nd 1-on-1 match against each other, with Cole winning that match, so they each have now won 1 match, & was the 3rd NXT Title Change of 2020, the 1st since Karrion Kross defeated Keith Lee at Takeover XXX on August 22, the 21st of All-Time, & Balor was the 3rd 2 time NXT Champion in History after Samoa Joe & Shinsuke Nakamura - Ashante Adonis VS The Velveteen Dream was not Adonis’ NXT debut, as he previously wrestled as Tehuti Miles, so it was Miles’ 1st NXT since he lost to Dexter Lumis on April 15, & was The Velveteen Dream’s 1st NXT TV match since August 19 - Bronson Reed VS Austin Theory was the 1st time since August 5 & 12 that Reed wrestled 2 weeks in a row on NXT, Theory’s 1st match overall since he & Murphy defeated Cedric Alexander & Ricochet on Main Event on June 25, his 1st Singles Match since he lost to Aleister Black on Raw on April 20, & his 1st on NXT sine he defeated Isaiah Scott on March 4, & was the 200th NXT Match of 2020 - Killian Dain VS Roderick Strong was Dain’s 1st NXT sine August 12, Strong’s 1st NXT since July 29, & was Strong’s 1st win since he defeated Dexter Lumis on NXT on May 20 (& was Dain’s 1st win since he defeated Tehuti Miles on NXT on March 25) - Rhea Ripley VS Mercedes Martinez was the 4th Steel Cage Match of 2020, the 1st since The Velveteen Dream VS Roderick Strong on March 4, the 2nd Women’s Cage Match of 2020 & 1st since Tegan Nox VS Dakota Kai on NXT on March 4, & the 3rd Women’s Cage Match in NXT History, after Io Shirai VS Shayna Baszler on NXT on June 26, 2019 & the aforementioned Nox VS Kai on March 4, Ripley’s 1st NXT match & main event since August 26, & was Martinez’ 1st NXT match since August 19, her 1st Singles Match since she defeated Shotzi Blackheart on NXT on July 29, & her 1st main event since January 15, & was the 900th Match on TV & PPV in WWE, NXT, NXT UK, & 205 Live in 2020 - Since they didn’t compete, it was the 1st time since August 5 that Tyler Breeze didn’t wrestle, which would have been the 1st time in his career that he wrestled 5 weeks in a row & was the 1st time since August 12 that Fandango didn’t wrestle, which would have been the 1st time since May 23, 30, June 6, & 13, 2012 he would have competed 4 weeks in a row on NXT, the 1st NXT since August 5 that Santos Escobar didn’t wrestle, which was the most weeks he wrestled in a row in his career & the 1st NXT since August 12 that Isaiah Scott didn’t wrestle, which was the most weeks he wrestled in a row in his career - This was the 1st NXT since July 15 to not have a Tag Team Match

Agree. Though I think Mercedes probably signed knowing she'd get a good push to start, maybe a title reign then becomes a coach at the PC. TBH as much as I like Mercedes, when I'd heard she'd signed I never expected much of a push, let alone a title reign but I did think to myself ''coach at the PC''. I'd love to see a segment between her and Sara Del Rey backstage where they have banter about their indie matches. I can see that, but maybe a strong push and a guarantee of being a coach put NXT over AEW for her.

Looks like Rhea’s moved on to tatt’ing her arms. "Look, the action figures are already gonna be out of date since I changed my hair colour and makeup palette, so you may as well let me start getting my arms tatted up."

I still remember watching her face Davina Rose (Bayley). I'd like to see Bayley and Mercedes interact at some point even if we never get a match.

Why is Rhea trying to climb out of the cage? She wanted thi match. God, I hate cage matches. The escape rule is the stupidest thing about Cage matches. They need to book it like WWWF Cage Matches: You leave AFTER beating the ever loving shit of your opponent. The escape CAN work, as Hogan/Orndorff and Steiners/Money Inc. showed but yeah.

Wait so who was that Adonis guy? He was great. I think it might be that Tehuti Miles guy who is on 205 Live every other week now under a new name, so I'm just trying to match up similarities like tattoos and such. Crazy. I hadn’t followed Miles because he’s been a jobber but also sounds like a jobber. Hilarious what a name can do. I saw his name come up on the screen and I was like “wow this guy sounds like a star.”

It's a steel cage match in WWE which means we are guaranteed to have outside interference. I swear, nothing ensures outside interference more in WWE than building a giant steel cage to keep people outside.

Well looks like someone is on their way to the main roster I'm not really the only one thinking this after taking a quick look at a couple of other wrestling related fansites, but I can't help but shake the feeling that Robert Stone is going to make a play to get Io Shirai as part of the "brand". Yes he was laid out by her tonight, but I feel like WWE is going to try and get cheeky and align Io with Robert Stone in an attempt to get her heat when she inevitably feuds with Rhea. It will likely backfire horribly because it would be blatantly transparent, but WWE is awful at reading the room anyways.

Well looks like someone is on their way to the main roster Wasn't she one of the Retribution members? So, her & Mia are probably heading to the main roster soon.
