This women’s division slaps so fxxxing hard. Imagine if Toni lives up to everyone’s praises?! Holy shit there’s some good combos to be had. It is downright sad when ya look at NXT and then look at the main roster womens division. I mean Raw has the women they just don't do a damn thing with them. SD on the other hand has no one. I am fully expecting a big influx of women to get sent to SD just because they need it.

Overall I thought that was an average episode of NXT, if I'm being honest. But an average NXT is still better than anything else they do.

Rating for this show...Rhea vs Ember was enjoyable, Halloween Havoc ad was good, Lumis and Grimes was fine, Garganos segment was ok, Ridge's injury was a dampener to say the least, Io in leather...Need I say more? lol, Ciampa vs Kushida was alright but not as good as hoped even before shenanigans...
I'll go with a solid 7 for this show, enjoyable show but compared to previous shows I'll have to stick with seven.

Yea 7 sounds right for this one. This was a cool down show..with the ehmphasis heavly on the womens division and with no Finn for atleasr the next week or two Io is the focus..which is perfect . Although Ridge might throw even more of NXT's plans into flux depending on his injury.

Another great NXT from the opening minute to the main event. Everything had its purpose. Kushida VS Tommaso Ciampa was an awesome match until the finish with The Velveteen Dream interfering. Kushida should have injured him more at Takeover. He should not be on NXT TV ever again for what he did. I liked Ember Moon’s promo and everything that setup the main event. Drake Maverick’s promo was funny. Io Shirai’s promo was good. The Undisputed ERA segment was OK. Killian Dain & Drake Maverick VS Ever-Rise was a fun match. Dain & Maverick could be a fun tag team to re-energize the NXT Tag Team Division. The Gargano segment was OK, but the fact they showed was wrong. Takeover 31 was Gargano’s 19th Takeover, not 20th. Leon Ruff VS Austin Theory was a complete squash, his promo was good, & I like Dexter Lumis coming out, but I hate people wrestling twice in the same night, save the match for next week, instead of rushing it. But the match was pretty good & I like Cameron Grimes attack afterward continuing what happened last week. Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai’s interview was OK. Grimes’ promo was OK. I love that feature on Finn Balor & Kyle O’Reilly. It made the match more special than it already was. Maybe Adam Cole can make an appointment for Finn with Dr, Britt Baker. Ridge Holland’s promo was OK. I thought that Holland would be wrestling an enhancement match & not someone like Danny Burch. It was a good match & I like Oney Lorcan coming out to save his partner. Lorcan VS Holland could be a fun match. It sucks that Ridge Holland got hurt. I hope it’s not serious. Timothy Thatcher’s promo was OK. Shotzi Blackheart VS Xia Li was a good little match. I'm interested in seeing what that was with Li & Boa, who hasn't been on NXT TV since October of 2019. Ember Moon & Rhea Ripley VS Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai was a fun main event to showcase Moon’s return.
Here are the Facts & Stats for NXT: - Kushida VS Tommaso Ciampa was the 1st time in his career that Kushida wrestled 4 weeks in a row on NXT & was his 1st NXT opener since May 27, & was Ciampa’s 1st NXT since September 23 & his 1st opener of 2020, & was the 47th Disqualification of 2020, & the 2nd week in a row on NXT - Killian Dain & Drake Maverick VS EverRise was Dain & Maverick’s 1st NXT since September 16 & was Matt Martel & Chase Parker’s 1st NXT since July 29 - Leon Ruff VS Austin Theory was the 1st time in his career that Theory wrestled 5 weeks in a row on NXT, Ruff’s 1st NXT since June 17, & was Theory’s 1st win since he & Murphy defeated Cedric Alexander & Ricochet on Main Event on June 25 & his 1st win on NXT since he defeated Isaiah Scott on March 4 - Dexter Lumis VS Austin Theory was Lumis’ 1st NXT since July 29 & Theory was the 2nd week in a row that someone wrestled twice on NXT - Danny Burch VS Ridge Holland was the 1st time in his career that Ridge Holland wrestled 3 weeks in a row on NXT, Burch’s 1st NXT since September 23 & his 1st Singles Match on NXT since he lost to Karrion Kross on August 12 - Shotzi Blackheart VS Xia Li was the 1st time in both Blackheart & Li’s careers that they wrestled 4 weeks in a row on NXT - Ember Moon & Rhea Ripley VS Raquel Gonzalez & Dakota Kai was Ripley & Gonzalez’ 1st NXT since September 23, the 1st time since June 17, 24, & July 1 that Kai wrestled 3 weeks in a row on NXT, Ripley’s 1st main event since September 8, Gonzalez & Kai’s 1st main event since August 26, Kai was the 2nd week in a row that someone went from the NXT opener to the following week’s maim event, & was Moon’s 1st match overall since she lost to Lacey Evans on Raw on September 23, 2019, her 1st in NXT since she lost the NXT Women’s Title to Shayna Baszler at Takeover: New Orleans on April 7, 2018, & her 1st on NXT TV since she defeated Aliyah on March 21, 2018, was the 2nd week in a row that NXT had 2 Women’s Matches, & was Moon’s 1st win since she defeated Charlotte Flair on Smackdown on July 23, 2019 & her 1st win on NXT since she defeated Aliyah on NXT on March 21, 2018

Ciampa/Kushida has that non-finish smell to it.

Give her a goddamn character to go with everything else for the love of god. Ember has always has a character. It’s being Ember Moon. A gimmick is just a wrestler’s overall presentation. That’s it. Their look and costumes are part of the gimmick. So are the moves, the way they work, the way they speak. It’s not necessarily “job outside of the context of wrestling” or a big Lucha Underground plot development. One can have a gimmick that essentially boils down to “pro wrestler”, and still have interesting aspects to it. Macho Man pulled that off. So did Katsuyori Shibata, he had a very straightforward style in just black trunks, but he was so intense and hard hitting, he made being “The Wrestler” a kickass gimmick. So what makes Ember so different in that context?

Watching this now, man just IMO but the CWC is such a better pro wrestling looking place than the Thunderdome. the fencing gives it the NXT underground vibe, the lighting's better, the flat screens all around look WAY better than the curves of the 'Dome.
