Government as in federal or state? Federal. Mostly military contracting. Cool. I'm planning on coming back to work in the federal government once i get done law school. That's the great part of only having to pay about $20,000 for 3 years.

I went to college for one year and never learned a single solitary thing. We never covered anything I hadn't learned, and this is not a lie as a freshman in High school. So I quit and took classes in Emergency Medicine at a community college to become a paramedic. But right now I'm a mom and girl scout troop leader.

I have a degree in computer science.
Benefit: You can get a job where you are at a computer all day, and as a result you can visit wrestling themed message forums at work.
Cons: Your entire family will expect you to fix their computer when it breaks.

Never went to college, I know, its mindblowing considering my obvious intellect. Actually Godz you are definitely one of the posters who had me convinced you had a master's degree. You're a great writer, very descriptive. I think we as a forum should give ourselves a Barry Horowitz pat on the back for the fact that we write in actual sentences, with punctuation and capitalization and EVERYTHING! Currently doing post grad work in pharmacy. Just be prepared for several millenia of school if you go this route... Oh, try psychology, with a segue into business school to try to convince yourself that you really don't want to be a psychotherapist. Yes, nothing like an EXTRA master's degree to pay for. Yeah my girlfriend is in her 5th year of a 6 year Pharmacy Program. I'm working on a freakin doctorate and she has to study more then I do. I don't know how Pharmacy majors do it....

Got my BA in Telecommunications with a minor in English. I was in radio for three years ( six if you count the part time work while I was still in school).. and then about a year and a half ago, cutbacks and a boatload o' other stuff went down, and I'm not anymore, I'm stuck in retail ( which I also worked while going to school), constantly searching for a way back out. Things have been stagnant of late.
And now I've made myself angry. heh.

If it makes you feel better Slim, you have the perfect personality to be a success in retail--charming jokes to lure the customer into buying many shirts/appliances/tires. Does "tele" communications imply any kind of manual dexterity with electronics?

I have a degree in General Business, which I got around 3 years ago. Still haven't been able to find a good job in my field and also keep on getting passed over for the promotion that should be mine, for people with no college and barely got out of high school. So, for the time being I am delivering furniture and have been for the past year and a half.
