It should be more adult oriented. Its what else is on TV during that time. Unfortunately Vince hears :adult oriented" and thinks penis jokes and fart humor. Vince hears "Adult Humor" and gets ready to film HHH in a Kane mask sexually assaulting a corpse again.

Might as well send Karrion Kross to Raw after the Rumble.

It's so weird, because Vince obviously has final say over both main shows. But every time I give Smackdown a watch, including tonight, it usually ranges from pretty decent to pretty kick-ass as a wrestling show. But every time I try watching Raw, it's just a mix between dull and boring, and awful sketch comedy.
And I've blamed it on the three hours for a long time, and three hours is way too long for a wrestling show on a Monday night, but it's impossible to ignore that the show is just bad regardless of length.
I just wonder how is it that Smackdown is consistently good and Raw is just ugh.
I grew up excited to watch Raw every week. But now, as I'm getting back into watching wrestling, I'll watch Smackdown and NXT and sometimes flip to TNT, but I do not bother at all with Raw.

Raw will ALWAYS feel like a slog because NO weekly episodic television show should be THREE f***ing hours. If it is then make sure you’re filling that time with must-see characters that we can’t wait to see what they’ll do next. The show takes itself way too seriously. It’s just a pro wrestling show. That said, the Benny Hill 24/7 shit is not it either. The RAW Underground was most definitely a creative step in the right direction to address a long f***ing show. It needs good gimmicks like that. But where we’re at right now, it should wait...

It’s clear at this point that USA is a significant part of the problem.

It's going to be awesome having Vince Russo back with complete chaotic crash tv weekly.

And let this put to bed forever the argument that 'ratings don't matter/USA is just happy that Raw puts them at #1/Raw does comparably better ratings so is fine'. When your primary source of income is TV money (especially right now, with no crowds) falling ratings are more worrying than ever before.

WWE has enough hours in the week to be able to reach many different demographics.
Raw could be a more edgy show reaching a more hardcore audience. SmackDown could be more family friendly. NXT could be more for old school character based wrestlers with great indie style wrestling.
And not have the brands mix.
With 3 shows and 9 hours a week, there’s no reason for that this couldnt happen.

It’s clear at this point that USA is a significant part of the problem. WWE shares a lot of blame here because they really don't change anything up worthwhile to make viewers stay around and care, but USA making WWE be a three hour show is ridiculous, and that rot over time of trying to sustain it is very noticable. Smackdown is a better and more easily digestable show and one of the reasons is because it's an hour less. Three Hours is bad enough for anything, it's even worse when WWE's booking team and Vince's inability to ever commit long term to shit, it's a mess. USA's scared shitless of AEW coming close to RAW that they tank NXT on Wednesdays just to try and keep the viewership down. Fact is, USA and WWE shouldn't NEED to do that, their show has been on the decline for years, no signs of stopping, more and more fans tuning out more and more in droves. The fact AEW has been alive a year, and caught them, even if it's a single week, is an indictment on both WWE and USA for putting on a shit product and not doing anything to help that product be better, and while NXT is better presentation wise, WWE and USA using it as a glorified kamikaze and nothing substancial, is also downright embarrassing.

It'd be like having a chef cook a dish three different nights & expecting them to taste differently.

Ahhhh, so they want the DC Film Universe WWE. The Snyder Cut of Raw: where Drew McIntyre says “f***”. Also, Raw is now FOUR HOURS!

John Cena returns but the network demands all his storylines are booked by Russo. Admit, you’d watch it.
