Will it feature any footage of Clarence Walker, the fifth Beatle? Billy Preston should appear as he has a credit on Get Back.

watched part 1 tonight with my mom and this is amazing so far!!! Just 4 guys talking and writing and figuring out songs. Some moments when songs we all know form during this its really exciting. Also this first part cemented even more that George was really held back twords the end of The Beatles. Also cool to hear some songs I havent heard before as I never deep dived into all the bootleg tapes from the sessions "Castle Of The King Of The Birds" is such a cool title and a really pretty piano piece that I wish they worked on more.

Is this the first thing on Disney+ w/ so much cursing/smoking? Maybe in the U.S., but Disney+ outside the U.S. has R-rated movies and TV-MA shows. You can watch, just to name two, Predator or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Disney+ in many countries.

Is this the first thing on Disney+ w/ so much cursing/smoking? Could this be a sign that they’ll finally add Logan?

Whole lot of "mature" movies on it over here. Is it different in the States? EDIT: didn't see the other posts mentioning it.

"It's gonna be such a comical thing in 50 years time. They broke up because Yoko sat on an amp"
That's a hauntingly accurate line lmfao.

EDIT: didn't see the other posts mentioning it. In the U.S., Disney+ is limited to TV-14/PG-13 and under. We don't have the "Star" section like many other countries do, so shows like Family Guy and movies like Deadpool go to Hulu. That could all change, though, in 2024 when Disney is able to buy Comcast's 33% share of Hulu. Once Disney owns all of Hulu, they could fold it into Disney+.

Watched this over the holiday weekend. And, man, it’s a lot to take in. This is an extensive deep dive, that I thing might appeal best to hardcore Beatle fans. And as someone who counts themself among that number, I enjoyed it immensely. The thing that surprised me the most, was how joyful it was. I’d always thought that this era was nothing but in-fighting. And there’s certainly is some of that. This is a band that’s clearly headed towards its end. But when they focus on the playing and creation of music, and block out everything else, it’s still magic. And that’s what I liked best. You’re watching/hearing Paul McCartney, sitting at a piano, working out the Long and Windng Road, pretty much off the top of his head. And there many other moments just like that. If you’ve ever wanted a deeper look into the creative process and inter-workings of the band, particularly on the music side, this is for you.

I know that saying the Beatles were great when they collaborated is a bit like stating water is wet in terms of proclamations, but the doc really does show how seamlessly well they created music when they got along:

so wound up giving this another re-watch and I have to say, the moment when John and George are discussing making solo records while still doing The Beatles every few years being something they would like to do was both heartwarming and heartbreaking because Paul is in the control room during this convo so he had zero clue this happened until Peter Jackson showed him the convo and Paul teared up and went "I wish I knew about this back then, I really wish I knew about this back then"
I also find it very very sweet that Paul still has the setlist from their last show taped on his bass, like still holding onto their live band days.
Also was surprised to find out that Paul co wrote "Gimme Some Truth"
You can tell in the rooftop that they are all super super into playing live like that again! Paul more than the others naturally, dude is such a huge fan of the band.
I also find George gushing over Bob Dylan during the entire thing to be incredibly sweet and im so happy they got to work together for the Wilburys.

Watched this over three days with my parents and it really is an engaging, wonderful experience to see the Beatles going through all this. You can really see everything started to come together when they left Kirkman and canceled the TV special.
