I liked Terminator 3. It was a good ol' fashioned action flick with plenty of over the top stuff and a hot chick. More consistent than T2 too. Atleast every other effect besides the CGI didn't look like crap in 3... plus T2 tried to pull a presto chango thing with the future to give it an absolute happy ending T3 basicly was correcting that saying that the info thy woulda got from the chips n stuff in the second movie would only have accelerated the rise of the robots, that it would have been inevitable anyway. and I dunno why but i could buy a terminater with liquid metal skin but a robot body better than a fully liquid robot, it was good for effects but just seemed a lil too far fetched

But T3 screwed up by making SkyNet a hopped up version of Windows Vista instead of an actual computer core/facility/stationary object. It spreads through teh internet and wipes out everything??? Whassupwitdat??? On second thought, T3 screwed a lot of things up.

I've seen that ending before and it is lame. The only thing I do like about it is that it would've prevented Terminator 3 which I hated with a terrible passion. It was a good action movie on it's own, but when you're making a sequel film that involves time travel, you might want to take a look at the rules that were set in the previous 2 films. Every time travel story sticks to one of two sets of rules. Either you can change the future by your actions in the past, or the future is inevitable and you can't change anything. You can not have it both ways. When Terminator 3 decides the future is inevitable it takes a gigantic steamy dump on the previous 2 movies.
Messing with the time travel rules is no different than making Gremlins 3 and having Gizmo go for a swim in the pool and sun bathe on the porch........but he doesn't multiply or die.

I vastly prefer The Terminator and Terminator 3 to the second part. It hasn't aged well at all. Someone agrees with me?!?!? it cant be true.... Terminator 2 tried to put too much thought into an Arnold movie.

I would have loved it if that would have ended with a nuclear explosion. Just a random, "oh snap, looks like you failed" ka-boom. Well...it would have atleast kept my attention. John becomes a senator? Sure. I was thinking the same thing

Terminator 2 tried to put too much thought into an Arnold movie. But Terminator 3 didn't have a rational thought in the whole thing. "The Futures not set. There's no fate but what we make for ourselves"------ "You only postponed it. Judgement day is inevitable" HUH?? "That Terminator doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear" + "Desire is irrelevant. I am a machine." -----that whole scene where the Terminator can't bring himself to kill John Conner. HUH?? And don't get me started on the T-101 versus T-800 issue. Did the guy that wrote Terminator 3 do any research whatsoever when he wrote the script? Did he even see the first 2 movies?
