Before he got to WWE and getting his name changed to Cesaro, I remember people being very inconsistent in how they pronounced Claudio Castagnoli's name. came here to mention Castagnoli. The GN sound really throws people off cause it's not really something that happens in English. Would I be correct in pronouncing it "Castinyoli"?

With him appearing on MLW recently. I noticed the commentary team saying Bu Ku Dao's name wrong.
It is said Boo Ku DOW!

I called Sable "Stable" almost all the time when I was a child. I don't know why it just always happened.

So I’ve noticed that a lot of people can’t properly pronounce Meiko Satomura
It’s Mae/may + ko
But people keep saying Meeko or Mako
I’m not sure what the properly pronunciation of Kiera Hogan is.
Impact and every reviewer I’ve heard called her Kira but in AEW, everyone called her Ki-era

As a kid, I had trouble with Neidhart, thought it was "Nine Hart". I still hear it, but I know better.

I always called Wendi Ricter as Wendy Richard until I knew better and I'm another who said Henning instead of Hennig.

Growing up in the 1990s and having access to WWF on TV but mostly only getting WCW content through their magazine, I had zero idea how to attempt to pronounce either Schiavone or Zbyszko.

I am trying to remember what WWE person on a Benoit DVD or whatever kept referring to Liger as Justin Thunder Liger and kept getting corrected.

I could have sworn one of the NJPW on AXS broadcasts I heard JR pronounce Tomohiro Ishii has "Tomohiro Ishi-E" JR was pretty infamous for screwing up names during that run (Marty "Shurll" comes to mind), but I don't remember that one from him. Mauro did it his entire run and it screwed me up for a while afterward.

It’s also in French, so you’d think people would be used to it from Verne Gagne I always pronounced Verne's last name as "Gag-nee" as a kid.

I listen to the LAW/Sunday night main event podcasts and I’ve noticed that for a bunch of international wrestling nerds, they have trouble with names like Kairi sane Dan lavranski, and sometimes Jason Agnew, almost always call her Kerry Sane Humberto Carrillo Either they pronounce the H or the LL in Carrillo like Brillo. Others PAC, who is sometimes Pronounced like Six Pack or Tupac Mustafa Ali, I noticed that the raw announcers used correct pronunciation after Ali said in a promo that they were saying it wrong. But I noticed some weeks where they use old pronunciation (like new jack and mustafa) Tay Conti. Her last name for a while, there was confusion ether it was pronounced Con-tee or Conchi on both nxt and AEW. In nxt, She was originally Con-tee, then changed it to Conchee. Then in AEW Dasha called her Conchee but Shaun Guerrero called her Con-tee. She also told Brit baker that her first name is pronounced Tye, but the next night they called her Tey again. Also, Japanese names. www has gotten better with over the years. Now I can understand, but I don’t know how they’ve been able to correctly pronounce Sasuke, Jushin thunder liger, tatsumi Fujinami, in their less internationally inclusive years but pronounce Saito (Sai-to) as Sa-ito to this day. Fans do as well. Since PAC is all caps, is it an acronym? Or just intense spelling?

Rey Horus. Is it "or-us" like it's spelled or "or-ooh-s" like how Rush and Black Taurus are pronounced? I know the H is silent either way.
