Second episode was just as entertaining as the first. The neighbour is just hilarious. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Its an incredibly slow burn on what’s going on, but the scenes that allude to something being horribly wrong are incredibly unnerving. It’s very unsettling being snapped from this lighthearted comedy, into this disturbing scene and then snapped back to the sitcom. And I mean that in a good way, it’s building incredible tension and I really wanna see where this is going. {Spoiler}Absolutely. It's extremely unsettling.
I'll be honest, I was much more hyped for Loki and F&TWS, but I'm sold on this show now. I really want to know where this story is going.

So far so good. On top of everything else going on, I was amazed at how genuinely funny I found the sitcom elements.
The mystery angle has more than a touch of the Life on Mars about it.

There's an element of Lynchian tropes in it so far: use of arc words, existential horror, mundane horror, etc. The idea of idealistic world with a dark undertone to it like Blue Velvet.

Could Mephisto be the thread through all of this? Could he OMD Spider-Man so the public forgets his identity?

WandaVision: Mephisto is behind everything
Spidey 3: Mephisto tries to pull a OMD but Spidey says no and turns to another (Dare)Devil and the other Spideys to clear his name by having Spidey and Peter Parker in one place.
Dr. Strange 2: Strange and Wanda go kick the devil’s ass.

{Spoiler}The fake ads do have an interesting angle to them: Episode 1's ad being for a Stark toaster (Wanda and Pietro's parents died of a Stark bomb that popped), and Episode 2's ad for Strucker brand watches (Strucker being the Hydra head who gave Wanda and Pietro their powers thru experimentation with Loki's staff.)

I just want to thank everyone for putting things in spoiler tags. I've been avoiding the thread until I can watch, but I got sick of forgetting why I had something labeled as new in my participation button thingie, so I came on here to get rid of it for a little bit. All of you being considerate has helped me not learn anything before I get to watch :)

So yeah, found the first two episodes really good. {Spoiler}Loving the slow burn atmosphere of something is really wrong. What's funny is that my fiancee is watching it and laughing at all of the tropes (which yeah, they nailed the tone of the old sitcoms) and here I am, while laughing, trying to keep my ear out for any clues or anything seeming off.
Did you notice that whenever Wanda noticed something was weird or whenever things started to shift, the cinematography turned from light and airy to a little darker and claustrophobic? EPISODE 2 SPOILER: {Spoiler}So guessing that the helicopter (which, look at the side of it. That's a f***ing SWORD logo.) had Monica in it trying to get into the bubble but something happened and she ejected before it crashed (henceforth the toy helicopter) and therefore that's how she magically appeared?

Been anticipating this series more so than all the others and this is absoloutley living up to the hype so far.
All the little things are very very important in this show and I love shows like this that make sure you know you have to pay attention and the things you do not catch surely will become more apparent after bigger reveals.
Paul Bettany is absoloutley fantastic and his chemistry with Elizabeth Olsen is undeniable.

I liked it, I didn't love it. Take away the more unsettling moments (of which there is very little already) and it plays like a very predictable cliched sitcom that spun it's wheels, episode three is said to be where things really kick off so I'll reserve judgement, but if true was there really a need for episode two? {Spoiler}The talent show sequences really needed to be paced better, I would remove the card trick entirely as it's painfully unfunny

That's definitely the case. I could have sworn I saw people in hazmat suits in trailers though. But entering this era turn his suit from that to a beekeeper. That or Wanda just hates bees and she wants to stay away from them. I feel you, girl. I hate bees too. Also, that's clearly Jim Halpert.
