Raw the week after Mania in Detroit has only sold 4k tickets in the same arena that AEW has sold nearly 9k tickets for at the end of June. I think Meltzer mentioned it, in places thought of as bigger cities, AEW sells really well while kind of iffy in smaller markets, where as WWE is reverse That's how a growing company is gonna be, which is also why it's good they're beginning to tour in places they haven't been yet. It's a really good way to get potential new fans into the shows if they come to a place near them, and the West Coast tour is a big deal for that, and they're already doing well so I await to see where they're gonna continue to go cause Khan said it'd gonna be a big tour.

That's a perfectly respectable number. Most Dynamites do between 4K and 5K. Some do better but those shows are usually in larger markets. If you were to tell me they would do that in South Carolina like 8 months ago, I would think it was fine.

Over 4000 tickets is "Burning out a market"?? Some of your negative takes are weird man, three quarters of this arena is full, they'll probably get more tickets as we get closer to showtime too.

Ok? They're selling 5500 tickets and have sold 4100 so far, that's a fine gate, and they have three days to get more including at the door. They didn't really burn out a market.

Will probably be about 5k come showtime. Not bad considering it's not a great market and it's a throwaway Dynamite

I hope they find a bigger Boston Arena in the future, they ALWAYS sell well there, and like immediately sell out this arena. There is a high demand in that market.

Boston should be in consideration for future PPVs. They’d sell out TD Garden no problem.

I've seen people saying WWE has an exclusive deal at TD Garden, so AEW don't have access to the biggest arena. So looking into it the next best option looks to be Conte Forum at Boston College, holds around 8600 and isn't that far from the Agganis Arena.
Unless it costs a lot more to use, it looks a better option than the Agganis Arena where they're limited to around 5500.......they could fit over 7000 in this place after stage setup.

Really attacking the guy's opinion there. Come on. Watch the negativity towards other posters. Lines like that are where people get a negative opinion of you. Just friendly advice.

I live in Columbia, SC and I can tell you that those numbers are a punt on point for what WWE did the last time I attended (Smackdown in late 2016). Hoping to show up right before the show and get some cheaper tickets, but I’m more excited for this show than any wrestling even I’ve been to in well over a decade.

Would love to hear you in the Elevation/Rampage results thread when I fire it up probably tomorrow, sometimes Twitter is good with results, sometimes it's spotty

I lived in Boston my whole life so this is interesting to think about. Conte is a bit bigger for sure but it's also a little more out of the way than Agganis. The benefit of running there is there's a lot of public transit around there and it's right near the heart of Downtown Boston. BC isn't like super out of the way but it's a the end of only one transit line and can be a long way out for some folks to get home. So it could be worth a shot to run by BC but BU is also a place fans are aware of and have gone to before so it might not be worth the shift. I am more curious if they could draw a good crowd in Providence assuming they can get the Dunkin' Donuts Center. It's a pretty big arena although they might run into the same WWE issue. But there are plenty of fans in Rhode Island plus it's only an hour away from Boston.

Meltzer mentioned that Big Show went to South Carolina where he grew up and did a ton of local media and that helped them move over a thousand tickets this week.

Didn’t want to make a new thread just for this, but I work at a comic/toy shop here in Columbia, and Ethan Page came by yesterday to shoot his YouTube show! I thought that was really cool.
