Now we just need to see how Christian Cage vs. Ethan Page would match up. Cage/Page II Then even better after that you can do Cage/Page III with Christian Cage and Brian Cage teaming against Adam Page and Ethan Page with Paige as the special referee and former NBA power forward Michael Cage as the special guest enforcer. All inside a steel cage, with Elliot Page as a special guest announcer.

The pop for Hangman's entrance legit had me tearing up. The Redemption of Hangman - not just here but obviously with live crowds - is a thing of beauty really. Ya love to see it.

I know it probably wasn't on purpose, but to me the fact that Cage screwed up the Buckshot a little made it better than if he'd just hit it. He's about 80 pounds of muscle heavier than Page, and he probably hadn't practiced it. What did he THINK was gonna happen?

Yeah, like, it was an absolutely blatant botch but I sort of love the idea that Cage was able to do the somersault in but was sort of stuck on the lariat part or was hesitant about when to set it up, leading to Page taking advantage.

They had Cage reluctant to jump Sting, and seemingly hesitate when Taz wanted hm to confront a bloodied Hangman. I wonder if he does something to make Taz finally turn on him, like if Omega can goad him into a FTW title match and win it off of him or some other humiliation for Team Taz that causes everything to finally boil over, or maybe Hobbs challenges Cage and Taz sides with Hobbs. My only hesitation is Starks being injured. Maybe have Taz pick up someone like Devon's sons, since no one person would really be a Cage replacement, and putting Team Taz in the tag division would at least change things up for them. Yeah Im glad they didn't drop it. They planted the seeds for it already. If they replace Cage maybe Joe can show up Don’t you dare give me hope like that.

Right call to have this early on in the show. It was a very entertaining bout between the two.

Could not agree more I thought it was perfectly serendipitous if he was suppose to land it more smoothly. I saw people ready at the jump to criticize him for the landing but I thought it worked perfectly given the circumstances.

I still don't care for the way Cage wrestles but I can't deny how talented he is Get him away from broke ass Tazz and do that babyface turn They had Cage reluctant to jump Sting, and seemingly hesitate when Taz wanted hm to confront a bloodied Hangman. More likely Taz strips him of the FTW title because he isn't man enough to hold it and either gives it to Hook or Hoobs Even with Ricky injured right now I think you can continue on as is with Hobbs until someone else comes along. I mean Butcher and Blade are with Hardy but not like they haven't affiliated themselves with multiple people

Look, the end game of all this is Cage/Hobbs and I don’t know about you but that’s an amazing prospect.

It's sunk in more now, but every time I see Cage wrestle I'm like "Oh, right, he's actually really really good". He and Page were a great matchup, two big guys who can just do amazing thing in the ring and work very fluidly together, and they executed the turn perfectly. Yeah, that happens to me all the time too. “Oh right, Cage can f***ing GO!”

I mean Butcher and Blade are with Hardy but not like they haven't affiliated themselves with multiple people Yeah, Butcher and Blade explicitly are for-hire goons. I like that about them since they actually sought out to do that as their gimmick, being fascinated with action movie goons, the guys the villains bring in to try to take down the villain before he can get a one on one with the big bad. So, if they did jump to Team Taz, wouldn't stand out. Also, could kinda see Diamante joining Team Taz since she's been having a lot of very Taz-like gripes against Thunder Rosa and then Kris Statlander. Also would help diversify Team Taz, same as the tag option, in terms of giving them a different division to focus on a bit, maybe, but I dunno. There are options.

Love both guys so this was a great opener. I like the idea of Joe joining Team Taz when Cage inevitably leaves, although maybe that’s a waste of Joe on the mic.

At first, everyone's in shock that Brian Cage beat him... but then, the more you think about it you're like, "Oh, well of COURSE Brian Cage beat him! That actually makes sense... he's Brian freaking Cage!"

Hangman come back beats him because Team Taz interfered. *chefs kiss* and the entire time Brian Cage looks like an absolute f***ing beast. If Hangman dethrones Kenny at All Out or Full Gear, solid feud you could have with Cage EDIT: And it can still spin off Brian Cage into a face if you book it right

EDIT: And it can still spin off Brian Cage into a face if you book it right That part I think is easy. Cage already showed that he's a more gracious loser than the rest of Team Taz; he took this match in the first place because he's got enough sense of pride that he wanted to win without them; and now, their attempt to keep him in the heel box has directly lead to a loss for him. At this point, he's plainly redeemable, he has the moral high ground over the rest of Team Taz, and he has reason to think that he'll benefit from ditching them.

I feel like Joe would still get the lion's share of the talking, Taz would just be hypeman, and Hobbs, Starks, and Hook would be a solid entourage.

It's worth pointing out that during the Team Taz/Darby and Sting feud, Cage was the one to speak out about his respect for Sting while the rest of the team kept harassing him.

Best way to do this is to have Cage in line for an AEW Title shot where one way or another, Team Taz's antics directly lead to Omega retaining. Then you have Taz "strip" Cage of the FTW Championship for not being good enough to hold that belt.
