Pretty sad that the Browns finally figured out how not to be completely pathetic right after Joe Thomas retired. He was a warrior for them.

The Cubs wasted a few. The biggest one is Ernie Banks. Other than a few good teams, his best years were wasted on Cubs teams that were horrible. He’s right up there with the greatest baseball players of all time who never played a post season game.

Don Mattingly played in one playoff series, in his last year. The Yankees made the World Series the year before he joined the team, and won it the year after he retired.

Unless a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Christopher Lloyd start helping this team, it's fair to say this man's career has been completely wasted.

Sacramento —> DeMarcus Cousins
They really just had to hit one draft correctly after getting him.
Instead they ended up with Jimmer, Thomas Robinson, Ben McLemore, Nik Stauskas, and Willie Cauley-Stein.
Also they fired the coach he loved and had the team playing winning ball with (Mike Malone) when he was out with Meningitis.

In fairness, they tried to bring in outside talent around him but it never worked. Remember, him and Rondo was supposed to be the big 2 to keep things together and that went left Their biggest f*** up was for some reason drafting big men. Drafting one is fine but you double up and draft WCS 2 years after you drafted Robinson.

Imagine him and prime Cousins together. Apparently that was all a Maloof call. A final FXXX YOU before selling the team.

They got him and Cousins in back to back drafts and then Evans fell way off. They kept switching his position from 1-3 but then he could never shoot and stayed injured

After his rookie of the year 20/5/5 campaign the braintrust in charge of the Kings decided he wasn’t a slashing PG anymore, but an off-ball SF to be parked in the corner playing to his biggest weakness. The injuries were piling up as well and they would end up trading him after the season Dame got drafted.

I still feel Cousins stats are inflated because he played on garbage teams and somebody had to put up stats. Really good player, but when your two is Rudy Gay (unless im forgetting someone) somebody had to put up numbers

Listen my friends, we can spend hours arguing if Cousins was truly wasted by Sacramento or not, or we could focus on the bigger story which is how we all will agree that Sacramento wasted Haliburton's prime in the coming years.

The NY Rangers built around Henrik Lundqvist but should have built for him. Despite his best efforts, the team wasn’t quite talented enough to help him get that cup.

In fairness, Mattingly's window of greatness and overall career was cut short by injuries. I think he could've at least held out to 1998 if he stayed healthy.

Pre-injuries DMC was a beast, and it sucks we didn’t get to see that team make a run.

It still kinda depresses me that Ray Bourque had to be traded to Colorado to finally win a Stanley Cup.
I can only imagine how many more accolades Dominik Hasek would have achieved if he weren't constantly stuck dragging the Buffalo Sabres along by their noses.
