I found that a theater in my area will be showing this in theaters. I am tempted to go do it that way instead of watching it on Peacock.

Sasha / Bianca feels like such a pointless match. Their last match was fantastic and I'd imagine this one will be too, but both of them have already defended the belt against every available option except Toni Storm. The division's kind of so hollow that it doesn't make a difference who the champion is.

More opponents for everybody. And it would give one of the brands something special and unique.

So Carmella it is, then. I agree with you, I just wanted to make the joke.

What is this, Rematch Slam?
I barely ever watch WWE and I feel like I've seen all this before.
And in one instance, Lashley vs Goldberg, I just plain don't want to see it.

Just wondering, but are any theaters in your area showing this? I am going back-and-forth on whether I want to go see this in theaters in my area. My friend and I were talking about doing this. I wonder if it will be worth it.

Despite shedding about 500 people off the roster recently, they only have the attention span to constantly promote Sasha, Charlotte, and Goldberg. And itβs always the same story. Title match. Are they champion? No? Title shot. Are they champion? Yes? Title defense.

Donβt think itβs that loaded with recent rematches at all. Mysterios-Usos and Priest-Sheamus are the only rematches I think that happened in the last couple of months. Sasha-Bianca happened 4.5 months ago and is actually a feud that hasnβt been run into the ground since.

Why is Goldberg even getting a title shot after his last match was decisively losing one?

Why is Goldberg even getting a title shot after his last match was decisively losing one? I wondered about this, too, and it actually quite bothers me lol. I believe he also lost the title match prior to the last one, so that's two straight title match losses. The only reason I can come up with is the fact that Goldberg technically just challenged Lashley, and he accepted. But that also bothers me because there was really no heat to justify Lashley accepting. They did use Goldberg spearing MVP as the reason for Lashley to want to beat Goldberg up, but it's a little weak, I feel. It's also pretty babyface-like for Lashley to stand up to defend his crippled manager, getting revenge on the evil bully. Or maybe Batista let Goldberg borrow his Gameshark device.

I'm not excited for it. If you're someone who watches all the time and thinks this looks like an entertaining way to spend 4 hours of a Saturday night, then by all means enjoy.

Why is Goldberg even getting a title shot after his last match was decisively losing one? All you have to do to get a title shot in WWE is be mad at the champion.

Should be a great show. And was just pointing out itβs not a lot of rematches that have been run into the ground. The featured matches are two first time matches in Edge-Rollins and Lashley-Goldberg, along with a match that happened once 4 years ago in Reigns-Cena and a match that happened at Mania four months ago and was a MOTY candidate in Sasha-Bianca. Priest-Sheamus should be an absolute great hoss fight and we might see Priest moving up the card with his first title win. The first Mysterios-Usos match was also fantastic on the last kickoff show. And if you barely watch and donβt think itβs a good card, good for you. You can enjoy those 4 hours doing something else.

The night before there's an Impact ppv, a GCW ppv, AEW Rampage, and NJPW Strong (actually in front of fans). And then the night after is probably the last Takeover as we know it so Ill be sure to check that out too. It really comes down to if I'm in the mood for more wrestling with all that too. If this show had more of a must watch card, I would prioritize it over some of that other stuff. Believe me, I WANT Summerslam to feel like a big deal, it just doesn't, at least to me. And I'm sure most of those matches will be pretty good. WWE has an amazing roster (what's left of it lol) that can have good matches. I wish the second biggest show of the year had fresh big matches with that talented roster.

Edge vs. Seth would be my choice to open this.

Why is Goldberg even getting a title shot after his last match was decisively losing one? Same reason Sasha Banks gets one? Just keep recycling the same 6 people over and over.

It seems that I won't be contributing to the live thread. Not a big deal, though, because I had bought myself and my friend tickets to watch Summerslam at my local theater.

Why is Goldberg even getting a title shot after his last match was decisively losing one? Since 2020, it seems Goldberg has only exclusively been in title matchs. 2020: Crown Jewel for the Universal Title Wrestlemania 36 defends the Universal Title 2021: Royal Rumble for the WWE title Summerslam for the WWE title He's due for Universal Title shots in 2022.
