If he’s this close to Hogan you kind of have to eclipse it. He's only close to Hogan with the Universal belt, not the WWE title.

If he’s this close to Hogan you kind of have to eclipse it. No you don’t. I think Cody will be fine either way, but it’s also risky to have him lose two years in a row. If Hogan’s record was the actual record and if Hogan was persona non grata that they did not want to mention anymore then maybe, but neither of those things are true.

IMO, having Cody lose after all the noise people made with #WeWantCody and the prospect of The Rock nearly replacing him in the WM main event would be tremendously stupid.

I feel like all of the winds right now are blowing toward Cody winning, but I just can't stop thinking about the fact they clearly want to do an Orton match. Wouldn't shock me whatsoever if Roman retains if only due to that.

I feel like the reason they made it a 4 way is so reigns wouldn’t get injured before mania

Maybe a lil column a, lil bit of column b.

Defeated Opponents:Seth Rollins As the match ended with Roman Reigns getting DQ'ed, Seth Rollins wasn't defeated, so his name should be under a section "Retained Against"

They seem to be saying Undisputed WWE Champion a lot lately without the Universal part in it.

Reading early posts in this thread reminded me Jeff Hardy was probably going to be added to the losers list until he just walked off and left.
Posters pleading for this to end in late 2021 still haven’t gotten their wish.

Posters pleading for this to end in late 2021 still haven’t gotten their wish. Honestly that's the biggest what if of this whole run. Not Jeff winning, but man, a solo heated up Jeff run again like he had in 2008-2010 against Roman just would've developed a great storyline leading into a match probably at Royal Rumble. He got his old theme back too, so it looked like they were slowly pivoting him up the card again until he walked out on that match. Just use his history as former champion who lost the belt at 2009 Rumble and he's been looking to get it back since. Would've been nice, if Jeff stayed clean.

1,266+ days as Universal Champion. 683+ days as WWE Champion. For context, the Universal reign is a longer period of time than between the Montreal Screwjob and Austin's heel turn at X-7, so more or less the entire Attiude era.

Even if he could stay clean Jeff was absolutely washed in ring, unable to even perform the Swanton Bomb properly anymore and should have retired years ago. Dude has filled out his bump card twice over and his solo face run like in 2008 - 2009 was never going to work.

Hey, so fun stat: the general considered start and end of the Attitude Era were Survivor Series 97 (when Vince McMahon became a character. His promo about the change of direction was a month later) and WrestleMania X-7.
Wanna know how long that is?
1240 days.
Roman has been hogging this belt having the same shit title match every few months for longer than the entire supposed Golden Age of WWE.
