If by lame hair you mean "the nWo" then yes. This. It took them like 6-7 months to actually debut him and then he showed up randomly on an episode of WCW Pro. I remember it being kind of a running joke that those promos ran *FOREVER* back in the day.

I believe Bischoff said on 83 Weeks that the character was a few years too late. I could’ve seen him teaming with Hulk in ‘94 to take on some baddies or something and getting over

Blatant Sub-zero knockoff comic book bullshit wasn't ever going to be over when he showed up. There was honestly no saving the gimmick. Agreed. Makes me think of some Memphis BS just with a bigger budget. Kombat inspired characters like Mortis may have worked but direct rip offs are a bad idea. This. Especially with a company that use to pride itself on "wrasslin." Not to mention he debuted at a time where the company was transitioning into a "more-realistic" era. I feel if the gimmick was toned down and his wrestling ability was passable and not hokey looking(all he did was kicks and then got back into a stance like he was a video game character), it might've had some legs to it. Maybe even gradually shed the gimmick over time.

Think it was a running joke around that time.

He couldn't freeze people or rip their spines out, That's why the gimmick didn't work. He could've, he was simply being held back by the big boys with creative control worried about being overshadowed by the guy who could freeze people and rip their spines out.

I could’ve seen him teaming with Hulk in ‘94 to take on some baddies or something and getting over Gimmicks like this,Dungeon of Doom and Booty Man really had no place in wcw once nwo showed up.I woulda paid several dollars as a child to see Glacier vs Bunkhouse Buck on a flatbed truck in 95. Mortis was my favorite version of Kanyon. He looked cool, bumped great, did unique moves and had one of the coolest entrances in WCW.Wrath’s entrance then was killer too.

Doing this silly shit in the middle of the NWO reality based era is what doomed Glacier.

His entrance was awesome. But he also moved at like 3/4 speed.
