Really surprised that a lot of you think this something non Kayfabe or character related. So what kind of character you think will use it? Sami.

Googled it and it appears to be a quote by a modern artist called James Victore.

Really surprised that a lot of you think this something non Kayfabe or character related. I mean, even if it is, you know it'll still be a thinly-veiled jab at the online fans who want the product to be better. even if it wasn't it's a pretty awful catchphrase...

They're TRADEMARKING this?!? Because sure, otherwise everyone is going to go around slapping this outstandingly snappy carchphrase on a t-shirt. Good Lord. I'm trademarking "Endless rematches are dogshit" and "Kevin Dunn is dogshit" Bryan Alvarez will see you in court.

I have no idea of the context of this gif but the moment I looked at it, I thought “Yeah, that seems to be the right reaction”. I feel like I just failed a level in an FMV game and he's telling me to go back and do it again.

Come to think of it I could maybe also see this playing into the whole Happy Corbin thing.

So the BEST case scenario is this is for someone like Sami who is basically a parody of Vince's hate for non-casual wrestling fans?
Yikes.
When you're fighting a PR battle (even in kayfabe) against your own fans who are STILL with you when everyone with sense gave up and stopped watching several years ago, you've already lost. I mean I'm not surprised they seemingly haven't learned anything and have done no self-reflection about running off loyal fans and talent, but still.... yikes. They really aren't going to learn until it's too late.

Really surprised that a lot of you think this something non Kayfabe or character related. I won't claim to knwo the numbers offhand in terms of how often things are "Oh this turned out to be nothing" and how often they're "this unbelievably tone-deaf/insane/unconscionable thing people were sure WWE wasn't really doing is exactly what WWE is doing", but WWE has hit on the latter enough times that it's believably not out of the question.

Having an adversarial relationship with fans has been great for them, they're doing great ratings and there's a real buzz about the product... Oh wait.

But if it’s not for tv, why trademark? I think it's probably a catchphrase for a character. But, this is a company that is not beyond stuff like "Stand Up For WWE." Hell, they maintain a whole blog just to "set the record straight" regarding media coverage that paints the company in a negative light: www.wwe.com/inside/standupforwweSo, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility that this will be some "movement" the company tries to start to "open a dialogue" with its fans.
