The Most Beautiful Girl in the World was my introduction to Prince. That'll be the one for me.

Respect his talent but I could never get into any of his music.

She's Always In My Hair is one of my favourites I heard D’Angelo’s cover of the song on SiriusXM’s limited-run Prince channel. As it played, I thought it sounded familiar but I couldn’t place it. The realization hit me a second later: it played at the beginning of Scream 2 when Phil and Maureen are in line outside the movie theater. All these years and I had no idea that was a Prince song. You guys already mentioned some of my faves, so I’ll add Diamonds and Pearls, Cream, and the whole Batman album.

Too many to name. It is hard to say best Prince song, but favorite Prince song, I have so many. "Do Me Baby", "Lady Cad Driver", "Little Red Corvette", just to name a few.

Too many to mention for me, but 17 Days is relentlessly funky. It doesn’t even feel like a mid tempo track. Have to come up with my own answers, but 17 days will definitely be there. It's SUCH a jam

For those into more obscure Prince stuff, he had a cool project around 1979 or so called The Rebels where he flirted with a more rock dominant sound (still having those touches of Minneapolis funk in it though). “Hard To Get” and his original version of Paula Abdul’s “You” go crazy hard.
Him and Andre Cymone did a funny song on it called “Disco Away”, where lyrically they’re bored with disco and they’re looking for rock and roll girls, but the song has an awesome disco beat in itself.

Sometimes It Snows In April.
The kind of song that if you're a writer yourself, you listen to it and it makes you want to give up writing because it's so good... and if you ever lost someone before their time, carves out your very soul.
