Staredown with Tanahashi, I'm assuming. Mystery opponent for Tanahashi for the US title at a big show would be pretty great

Doesn't Bryan himself prefer Valkyries to Final Countdown? He wanted Valkyries to be his theme for years starting after his run in Japan in 04, but Sara Del Rey had taken the idea and he was already synonymous with Final Countdown even though it started as a gag

The most legendary Bryan theme is obviously Big Epic Thing.

I think you do it a little different. I would have him announced at All Out that he is signed. Do a vignette where he is training and cut a promo saying he will be in Queens. Then the next few you weeks you hype the hell out of it.
The reason I say you go this route is because with Punk, he has an aura about him. There was legit mystery and intrigue (and it being the worst kept secret in wrestling.) Bryan has a different vibe. He is someone who will probably help into the roster slightly better than Punk right away. Like I see Bryan wrestling more than Punk and I can see Bryan being a fixture on BTE. He can take a similar route that Christian took, though Bryan is much more of a bigger deal.

Backstage segment. Have him wander up to someone and say “I don’t own a TV. What happened on Rampage?” They tell him. He says “Oh ok”.
Biggest ratings ever.

The Final Countdown is more iconic for Bryan Danielson Ride of the Valkyries is synonymous with the YES chants and bearded "WWE machine" Bryan. I think I speak for most Bryan fans when I say I want ROH Danielson back with the plain maroon tights, shaved head, Cattle Mutilation, Final Countdown, streamers etc. Not the WWE version we've seen over the past 10 years. I don't want to see any Yes'ing or "Goat/Beard" crap. Imo, you’re underselling the impact of how his wwe character traits made him a super star. I get wanting more Danielson qualities if you were a long time Indy fan, but I wouldn’t call it crap. I think he can keep some of the stuff that made him popular in WWE (similar to Punk keeping Cult of Personality, BITW catchphrase, and the iconic white shirt), but the overall presentation should have quite a bit of the American Dragon/ROH elements. If you're TNT and Tony Khan, you for sure want the visual of the crowd doing the YES chants during his debut. As for his debut itself, think about how the company he's leaving would debut specifically him (aka getting jumped and made to look incompetent just to get cheap heat on someone, and then wonder why it didn't move the needle), then do the opposite. Give him a cool entrance, maybe he rescues a babyface from a beatdown, maybe he has a staredown with some dream opponent like Omega or one of the NJPW guys (even if it's not his first feud, it would serve as a long term tease for the eventual showdown). Keep it simple, give your audience a special moment, and present it like a major wrestling star has just joined your company.

Since they hyped up debuting Punk(sorta), they should have Bryan be a total surprise.
There should already be more eyes on the show due to the CM Punk hype, and Bryan suddenly walking out on Dynamite and confronting someone like Punk would be talked about a lot on social media.

I don't watch regular AEW regularly (will check in more often because of Punk) but would I be out of touch that I would want Bryan to debut align with Punk, have Wyatt join them and maybe Moxley to form a heel ex WWE stable? Sure Punk kind have thrown all of that out of the window with the "I left pro wrestling in 2005," line, but would a heel stable of guys who say We Made It "Over there," and nobody would be talking about this company without us," help make new stars of homegrown AEW talent?

I would keep it simple. People were excited to see Punk speak for the first time, while with Bryan, they are excited for all the dream matches. So I would debut him in a match.
I would set up the Young Bucks vs CM Punk/Mystery partner for Arthur Ashe. Most people would know who the partner is, but Punk can tease Bryan coming during his promos.
At Arthur Ashe, you open the show with The Young Bucks entrance, a huge pop for CM Punk coming out and then the music goes down....a final countdown hits and the place erupts. Just imagine the sound of that crowd when the chorus hits (IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!")

Best way in my opinion is for Final Countdown to hit while the Elite is doing a post match beat down of Christian at All Out. Danielson clears house to set up a match vs Omega at Grand Slam in New York. I would love to see this. As far as themes go, The Final Countdown is my favorite Danielson theme out of all of them, so to see him come out to that again would be amazing.

Can never understand the logic of going with the final countdown when ride of the valkyries is about five times as iconic and literally free. Hope that doesn't happen but considering AEW went as far as replicating Punk's static I doubt it will The Final Countdown is more iconic for Bryan Danielson Ride of the Valkyries is synonymous with the YES chants and bearded "WWE machine" Bryan. I don't want to see any Yes'ing or "Goat/Beard" crap. Why wouldn't he do the Yes chants when it became a Mainstream deal? He has had beards before WWE as well. The Yes chants started in the indies as well. That like Punk not doing the Best in the World stuff. I can see him using the Marron attire, stramers, and bring back Cattle Mutilation. But Bryan beard and hair styles often changed. I don't think he go shoulder length. I remember he one time had a shaved head, beard, and a cape.

I could see that at some point and I think something like what you've outlined could be really great, but I'm not sure if that would be the correct move right out the gate. It would definitely be a curveball and obviously there are the Hall and Nash comparisons being made since the rumors first circulated. I just think maybe you ride the fan adoration for them for a bit before thinking about turning either heel. All I know is I probably won't be disappointed in what they do because above anything else these guys are master storytellers.

I've never seen any of Bryan's stuff outside of WWE, so I have absolutely no loyalty to "The Final Countdown." If AEW wants to pay Europe to use it, cool, but it won't break my heart if he uses "Ride of the Valkyries."

Not sure exactly the manner of his debut. But as far as his character, I don’t think it would be wise, either creatively or businesswise, to ignore the run that was his most popular and even gained him some mainstream notoriety. I expect we’ll see something of a hybrid of Daniel Bryan & American Dragon, and I trust both AEW & Bryan himself to do it right creatively without the WWE-esque foolishness that was sometimes attached to his run there.
As for his theme, I expect Valkries to be his primary theme (both for royalties & the reasons I mentioned above), though I could see them breaking out “Final Countdown” on certain occasions. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear “Yes” chants, & Bryan leaning into it, but I don’t think AEW corporate will force it the way WWE did.
