People still holding their breath for that Liv Morgan push. Becky vs. Io Shirai makes more sense to me Yup. This seems more likely than Becky vs Liv. Io's contract is supposedly up this year, and they aren't gonna let her walk out the door. They tried to move heaven and earth to get Cole to sign a new deal, and Io is basically the women's version of that. She's made it clear she wants to win a Rumble and main event a Wrestlemania. While I don't think she'll get the main event slot, I would be shocked if she doesn't get a major title match (and probably win) at Mania against Becky or Charlotte in an incentive to get her to stay. The problem with Liv is that people like her until the moment she opens her mouth and then...she just falls flat on her face. She's someone I feel like would be a good hypothetical midcard title holder, but otherwise I basically see her as the female version of Ricochet when it comes to positioning on the card. She might get a title match down the line, but the audience pretty much immediately loses interest in her the moment she opens her mouth. So I could see her getting a match against Becky, but it would be more akin to Ricochet vs Brock Lesnar in terms of booking, with Becky playing the Brock role.

Sadly I think she's more likely to be joking ruby soho in aew than having more than a battle royal match at mania

I loved watching the guy, but when they started giving him a mic I lost all interest in him. Even when he tried to deliver simple yet devastating lines they didn't sound any different. It was kinda funny that I lost interest in him just as he was hitting the heights of his success.

They need to pack out Dallas, I don't think Liv/Becky moves the needle enough to do that. Assuming Bayley can get back in time and Sasha doesn't just outright leave, I think next year they finally pull the trigger on Bayley vs. Sasha vs. Charlotte vs. Becky. *Especially* if Mania is two nights again, that could easily be your night 1 main event.

Whatever they they do, it doesn't feel like the year they'll try to create new stars in the main events.

I'll ride the Liv Morgan Experience 'til (and after) she's a damn champion! \o/
I believe she'll win either Queen of the Ring tournament this year or Royal Rumble next year and shock all the naysayers. > She's that good, ' haven't just been able to show off all of her skills just yet...
The Man versus The Daddy is surely a dream match of mine, ' hope to see it happen at some PPV - if not at WrestleMania.

It's been proven in the past Wrestlemania is always going to have a huge crowd no matter what they book on the card. Last time they did Mania at Dallas they drew their biggest crowd ever with over 100, 000 with a very uninteresting main event of Reigns vs. Triple H. I don't think it will matter who Becky faces especially since I'm sure there is going to be a ton of star power in the men matches anyways. Just being Wrestlemania sells itself.

I think a lot of that had to do with Shane McMahon returning though, as f***ing awful as I found the Cell match with Taker.

They sold under 70K as of February 2016, and it was only as the match card got announced that they were able to get closer to 100K. The actual amount of people in the arena was also under 100K, that was a Vince exaggeration. In the stadiums that are like 50-60K it's certainly a sellout without knowing the card but Dallas is a different beast.

He's kind of more of a novelty act where you are happy to see him when he pops back but I don't think he's ever been anyone that tons of people are going to flock to arenas for.

I've soured quite a bit on Shane over the years, but I do think there was a feeling of "What kind of shit is this crazy motherf***er going to do off the Cell?" among a lot of people. So I think it was a combination of Mania being Mania and people wanting to see the Cell match with Taker.
