This was so awesome! Such a shame I've never appriciated this back in the day, I was always looking for the main event angles.

If I would have had access to a gun 5 years ago, I would be dead. And I would have missed out on how good my life is now. It is such a tragedy that Daffney could not find a path to happiness before taking such a tragic step.
RIP.

It is such a tragedy that Daffney could not find a path to happiness before taking such a tragic step. RIP. When my ex wife and I split up my dad actually took all the guns from my house other then my pellet gun and kept them for about a year. Out loud we said it’s so she couldn’t pull any dirty tactics and claim I’m a threat to herself or others (as unlikely as that would be but a person gets insanely paranoid during a divorce) but I know he was absolutely worried about me doing something reckless to myself. Finally admitting that I’m not as in control of my mental state as I’d like to believe led to me finally seeing a shrink and it’s changed my life for the better. I’m in such a better place now then I was a few years ago.

This isn't easy for me to write. A friend of mine committed suicide a couple of years back and I've had suicidal thoughts in the past (as recently as this spring when my mother lost her long battle with cancer, I was her primary caregiver for six years). No kidding, I considered ODing on her leftover medication until my aunt disposed of them. I'm not proud of it but I did consider doing it. I don't think I can enjoy the upcoming AEW PPV after this news nor any other wrestling product. I feel numb. The rumored circumstances of Daffney's tragedy (her parents finding her body, the means she used to take her own life) are hard for me to handle. A Pro Wrestling death hasn't shaken nor saddened me this much since Chris Kanyon's a decade ago (damn, has it really been that long). My heart goes out to her parents and other loved ones this is something no one should ever have to deal with. Poor Daffney she meant so much to so many yet in the end we could not help her. Rest well, my dark princess.

2000 WCW was a guilty pleasure of mine, I watched Nitro Thunder and PPV religiously so I actually watched a lot of Daffney. Her Crowbar and David Flair genuinely entertained the hell out of me. I’m sitting here after processing everything, and realized I did always have a soft spot for Daffney. Enjoyed seeing her get a TNA run, as awfully as that ended. This sucks, because once I’m past the awful situation of her passing I realize I was actually a fan of hers. And she seemed like such a sweetheart too, never heard bad stories.

I'm almost a year from a real bad night I had where things could have gone a lot worse. Things are tough when your brain tells you things that aren't true. There's always someone who cares though, friends, family or even people you don't know care and want you to keep going.

Bryan Alvarez: David was a shitty wrestler but if you go back and watch it Him, Devon Storm and Daffney were actually insanely entertaining in their roles
I wholeheartedly agree

When David got pushed into a feud with his dad it fell apart. Because the 3 of them were out there trying their asses off to make it work while having the time of their lives doing so

MarkyD123/The Hawk has a tribute on his YouTube. It's his usual video of listing matches of wrestlers who didn't have many when working somewhere, but no ratings are given here. And there's a nice tribute near the end by Hawk.

I was glad to see the sign for Daffney in the crowd during last night's AEW show.

It's taken me a few days to process this. I don't consider myself goth or that kind of lifestyle but i always found myself drawn to darker wrestlers like Daffney, Rosemary, Decay, etc. Daffney just had a physical charisma to her drew me in. She deserved better from the wrestling buisness. TNA screwed her over. I wish things had worked out differently for her. I think it's a reminder that behind every character lives a human being and as i said before in this thread sometimes the biggest battles we face are in our own heads. I hope that wherever she is she is in peace.
