My sources told me that Ultimo Gallos was #502 on the list. I guess next time I will include a 100 dollar bill when I send in my info. Pretty much every year for the past 5 as a joke I've sent in pics of me in wrestling gear, last 2 are with me holding the Hoodmark title. Just to see if they really look into the people that send info in for the 500. We’ll do a whole social media campaign for it next year.

We’ll do a whole social media campaign for it next year. I own a few lucha masks. I do the J.O.B a few times for ya! 2 Years ago when I sent in the info we made up a few feds and matches. "Ultimo Gallos started in Mississippi Wrestling Alliance this year. And had short feuds with Steve Comet,Luke Cold and Hillbilly Jedd. He also made a few appearances in Mississippi Combat League. Where he beat Eddie Kroger and Fatt Hardy Ron Horn." Back in 2010 ,might have been the 2009 list,a buddy (Barry Wolf) was #500. I asked him what all he had to do to get on the list "Dude I didn't even bother sending in my info. I had no clue I was on the list till the issue hit the stands and Atomic Dogg and FuEL texted me about it."

Probably an unsurprising complaint from me, but here goes.
Should Miz be in the top 10? Hell no.
Should he be at 89, one spot behind Aron Stevens even though he won the WWE title and became the first DOUBLE Grand Slam champion? Hell to the no.
At minimum, he should be ahead of Eric Young, who, to be fair, was the Impact champion for a month and a half, but apparently only wrestled 15 times during the evaluation period.

I was confused by something. I spotted at least half a dozen female names in the PWI 500 this year. They include Allie Katch, Erica Leigh, and Laynie Luck. I thought they rated the females separately. What’s the deal?
No disrespect to the three mentioned, but it’s also weird that they would be included while more mainstream stars like Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Britt Baker are left out. My guess is that to be considered they must have had a certain amount of intergender matches. Either that or it depends on what gender they identify as.

You would think the females mentioned would just be included in that. But several females are in the PWI 500 this year.

You guessed right, only women who wrestle a certain amount of intergender matches can make this list. The ones you mentioned will be in the PWI Female 100.

I just subscribed to the actual physical magazine How much does a subscription cost? It used to be 6 issues a year for like $40?? Now they are doing 10 issues a year for $55 I think. But if you do digital its only $15. Its a steal Edit: Just checked subscriptions, they are still saying 6 issues for $21 or 12 for $40 They still refer to the subscriptions as 1 or 2 years, but they are doing 10 issues a year. They did a Dec ‘21 issue but this year alone we have gotten Jan, Feb, April, May, June, August, November, December plus a special all New Japan western expansion volume. I suspect we’ll get another special volume before year’s end to make it 10 issues. They switched chief editors some time back and he definitely mentioned going from 6 to 10 issues a year

Pretty much, since intergender wrestling has pretty much become standard among most high profile indies, it makes sense that female/non-binary wrestlers who have the bulk of their opponents be men be ranked among the general field they are competing in.
