So basically they achieved the baseline of what NXT was already doing prior with no advertising when they were head to head with AEW. Fine bump from last week but only 10% increase from the prior week to that. The last head to head NXT was April 7, 2021. Between September 16, 2020 and April 7, 2021, NXT had 770,000 viewers or more one time and it was the Halloween Havoc episode. In that time period, NXT had a 0.21 demo or higher only 4 times.

I think just about everyone expected a bump for the reboot episode, especially with a wedding happening. It's just a matter of if they can sustain it.

That show was always gonna get a bump, the real question is how many people liked it vs how many people don't...
It's a far cry from the show it was so they very easily may lose some of the number they had before.

Really if anything I expected higher, though they might have gotten dragged down a bit by people keeping an eye on California.
