The Rock leaves for a year and comes back to lose a weird three on two handicap match against Evolution. Like it's ridiculous to look at that card in hindsight and see the Rock in a lower card match and then going away for like 8 years. In hindsight, who would have thought that 17 years later, the Rock and Batista would become the actors that they are now?

Who would guessed that the first time since 98. The Warrior return to the ring and at the same time his final match ever would be against Orlando Jordon? I think it was also in Spain or Portugal which just makes it even weirder Spain. Chris Masters/Chris Adonis was also present for the show, and if I recall, was rather disappointed on meeting someone he had previously been a fan of. Probably a pretty regular occurrence around Mr. "Queerin' don't make the world work!"

He proved me wrong something fierce

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn wrestling the returning Daniel Bryan and.... Shane McMacmahon. Two of those three names are pretty good choices, and the other one seriously drags it all down. This one is actually pretty easy to answer. Bryan's comeback was a very spontaneous thing that nobody planned for until he got cleared a couple weeks before the show, and by that point, all the main eventers on Smackdown already had their matches announced or telegraphed, so they shoved him in the feud that made the most sense from a storyline perspective, and that was the Shane vs. Kevin and Sami program, since he was already co-authority figures with Shane at the tiem. Now, if you want something related to Bryan's comeback that actually made no sense with plenty of logical alternatives, it was having his first actual feud following Mania with Big Cass of all people.

John Cena was able to elevate the United States title with his weekly open challenges. Eventually, Del Rio returned to dethrone him. But holy crap, what an abomination that MexAmerica gimmick was.

Grand Master Sexay triumphant return as the crickets chirped and the crowd went for a piss break. youtu.be/yeaVMffAi8MThat was so sad and I believe that was his last time with WWE ever. How can a true wrestling fan not know history and Brian was a part of history as was Stacy Keibler and the kids from Tough Enough didn't know who she was either. It makes me wonder how many fans even know most of the guys for old school Raw or at they just cheering because they know it's someone who was important to WWE at one point?
