The fallout from this show is amazing. Heyman gone, WWE completely abandoning any attempts to be like the old ECW, the end of single brand PPV’s a couple months later and ECW becoming NXT Beta. EDIT: When I say NXT Beta I mean their first attempt at televised developmental, not the contest thing it eventually became And thank god for that. WWECW sucked pretty bad when it was attempting to emulate the original ECW, but it ruled when it had its own identity. Honestly the best show WWE had at the time for quite awhile.

Can anyone say anything positive about it? The opening tag team match was fun.

When ECW was a middle ground between OVW/DSW and main roster proper the show was great. It was such a breeze to watch every week, and it felt different.

When you book most of the roster in one match, you get this.

ECW was my weekly dose of wrestling back in 2009-10. I dabbled in Smackdown, but ECW was just fun and easy to watch and always left me wanting more. One of the things I really appreciated about it was how low key Josh Mathews and Matt Striker were on commentary, like two friends watching wrestling matches instead of having to listen to Michael Cole do the hard sell on everything.
