It's a shame. Hopefully, it was just them being young and not being ready for marriage rather than Sammy cheating with Tay (and even then, it's no one's business but their own). Granted he could be lying but the whole still love each and wish each other the best part I don't think would be the case at least on her end if he was cheating. Also isn't Tay married? Would make things even uglier if so if there is something to that. Likely there probably isn't though and it's just a case of people being immature and jumping to conclusions that aren't there. www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2021/11/tay-conti-reveals-separation-from-husband/

Tay deleted her Twitter account because people were harassing her apparently. It’s moments like this where it becomes glaringly obvious why, even though wrestling shows are some of the highest rated shows on cable TV, advertisers are still not lining up to pay for ad space on them.

It could be a ton of things, I don't think Tay and Sammy are a thing, they're just friends. Men and women can be friends!
The funny thing about engagements in long relationships is that, suddenly it's *real*. You might have lived with someone for ten years, but there's alway the knowledge you can break it off at any time. Then marriage is there. People start to ask themselves questions. "Do I really want to live with this person for the rest of my life?" These questions become much more pertinent when one person in the couple is on the road all the time, and works in an industry where serious, life altering injury can strike at any time, with no warning whatsoever.

Sad to hear of any couple breaking up. I hope it was truly a mutual decision and as clean as breakups can get.
I would like to say I'm surprised at how some fans are acting over it, but I'm really not. Even if Sammy was sleeping with the entire locker room, both men and women, it would be nobody's business but his and Pam's anyway.

I'm disgusted that on Twitter people think Sammy cheated on Pam with Tay Conti even if he did... it's none of our business. We don't know these people. we're not their friends or family... he's a guy that is entertaining on television...

Some wrestling fans seriously need to go the f*** outside and get a life, like it gets really embarrssing to be a fan sometimes when you have to see this shit. I just feel so bad for Tay that people are this delusional.

I just feel so bad for Tay that people are this delusional. This all kind of dovetails into the discussion that was going on in the Long Island thread. 99% of the fanbase is great, but the 1% that is bad really casts all wrestling fans in a bad light. The sooner that part of the fanbase is ostracized the better.

It’s just none of our business. I get Sammy is a public figure, who has a vlog and proposed in public, so it all comes with a territory. Like it’s hard to ask for privacy when your a celebrity, because people are not empathic to stuff like that. A lot of people think they know these people and they don’t. So when they think they know them, they feel it’s their right to harass someone. No one deserves to be harassed in this situation. It’s been this way forever, and when you add shitshows like Twitter and Reddit (believe me, the thread on Squared Circle is f***ing disgusting) it just makes things even worse. I kind of wish that in general, people wouldn't propose on camera, because of the awkward position it puts the other person in, but it is what it is...

It's always a shame when couples break up, but there can be a variety of reasons. Travel, time apart, sometimes people just fall out of love with each other.
But people just looove a bit of drama, don't they? When people break up, it has to be a cataclysmic moment, usually sexual. Couple breaks up? "Has to be an affair doesn't it? Heard he was caught in a strip club at 3am! I've seen loads of pics of him with a female colleague, they must be banging..."
And look, maybe they are, but I don't know, nobody knows but them, and even if I did, it's none of my business.
I'm part of a Hamilton Facebook group, & I've seen this whole malarky happen regarding Anthony Ramos. It's so cringy.

I understand that by saying this I paradoxically 'have an opinion', but good god I cannot imagine having an opinion on this. I don't give a shit if Wrestler X did or did not cheat on Person Y with Katy Perry, the ghost of Vivien Leigh, or the Great Khali. I don't have an opinion on it, I don't hope it didn't or did happen. It's not my f***ing life. This guy has the right idea.

People getting caught up in the intimate relationships of famous or even semi-famous people to the point of harassing someone on the mere suspicion that they might be a "homewrecker" is parasocial and creepy.
Like, Sammy and his now ex-fiancee put out a message saying they're separating. That's it. That's the extent to which *any* of this is our business.
But Sammy has Tay on his vlog and they're clearly friends, so some assholes decide they're going to accomplish...what, exactly? Even if there was an affair going on, who @#$%ing cares? It's their business, full stop. People cheat for all kinds of reasons; the vast majority of those reasons don't serve as viable justifications, mind, but so long as the people involved aren't sexually abusing or visiting that kind of harm on others, then their reasons are their own, and none of us are privy to what might've led things to that point, so getting worked up about it is an utter waste of one's time and a ringing endorsement for stepping outside and touching grass.
Of course, there isn't even an indication that any affair was going on! People are making up a reason to do shit like this, that's how wrapped up in the personal lives of people they watch on TV and the internet they've become.
If I had to wager, the people leading this charge of the troll brigade are losers who want to take personal life drama, whether real or imagined, and use it as fuel in some stupid "hurr durr the company run by the billionaire I like is better than the one run by the billionaire I don't!" bullshit, and then the "stans" rope themselves in and want a chance to be righteously indignant over something that probably didn't even happen. In other words: Twitter.

Every fanbase has idiots that act like this. Advertisers think wrestling fans don't have money. They likely don't care how they act online one way or another.

Between this gossipy scarlet letter nonsense and the actual bad boy crush that many people seem to have on Hook, the similarities wrestling fans share with the average teenage girl are becoming increasingly noticeable. It really is “soap opera for men”.

In other words: Twitter. I'm reminded of the sheer levels of vicarious embarrassment I felt for Beyonce's fanbase when Lemonade came out. I'm sure plenty of them are perfectly fine. I'd certainly hope so. That being said, them assuming Rachel Roy was the "Becky with the good hair", and this morphing into them thinking it was Rachel Ray from 30 Minute Meals, was absolute buffoonery. I honestly lost a bit of respect for Beyonce for her total indifference to her fans brigading people. Maybe she felt that it'd only make it worse, but it did come off like she just didn't give a shit or was worried her fans would turn on her for trying to reign them in. I know she can't control them any more than they can control themselves, but you'd expect even a boiler plate "Don't attack people on my behalf" statement, but nope, I don't recall anything of the sort.
