Everything with the NXT women feels to me more like they're trying to develop Mandy than anything else right now.

It isn’t prime NXT and it isn’t the horsewomen, but I don’t think it’s an absolute trainwreck either. Mandy is exactly fine, Raquel is really good with a leader, and Cora has loads of potential.
That said, I do wish KLR was getting a better NXT2.0 run? Absolutely.

I realise this name hasn’t been mentioned but what about Indi Hartwell being nxt woman's champion ? I think she could be a star.

I like her but I don't really see her as someone you would make champion of a brand. She's funny and can be a useful part of a roster as a midcard utility player like a Carmella or a Billie Kay but main eventer or center piece of a division is really stretching it. |

I compared her to Carmella and Billie because she seems to excel more at the personality/character side of things then the wrestling end like those two do/did, I think she has a higher ceiling in ring then Carmella but at the moment I would say they are pretty close in that aspect in both are a little below average. I think my main problem with Indi in ring is she always comes off as tentative and not physical enough. She's one of the bigger women on the roster but it's hard to realize it when watching her wrestle because has aggressiveness or physicality to her. |

Indi comes across as fairly awkward in the ring and right now she seems to be heading pretty rapidly towards splitsville with Persia Perotta. And who knows how that will turn out. Also she's cooled off SIGNIFICANTLY since her angle with Dexter wrapped up. |

She's still got room to grow, but I thought her 205 Live match with Valentina Feroz the other month did a pretty decent job of her using her size/strength to advantage:

It wasn't a great match, but I thought the triple threat was entertaining enough. And while it's not perfect, I still think NXT's women's division is much more interesting than Raw or SD's. That probably says more about the state of Raw and SD than anything, but still. I genuinely like Mandy and think she's stepped up since going back to NXT (not so much on the mic, but her ring work has been decent). There are also talents like Ivy Nile and Cora Jade that I'm going to enjoy watching grow.

It just requires having strong ring generals and there are only a handful of them and I'm not sure what the long term future holds for the likes of Io and Dakota. In the meantime, a lot of the matches that don't have the top few workers are going to be rough. |
