Regal definitely feels like someone AEW would pick up if he’s interested. Wasn’t expecting to see him here but nothing’s all that surprising with these cuts anymore.

Like, I'm not against them trimming some coaches to make room for other people if they want to go this direction but the only thing is I sort of hope they know the direction they're going in. At the end of the day, they need people who either know how the main roster works or know how to take advantage of young minds to make them what you want and, really, if it's not people like Regal, Del Ray, Bloom or Scotty Too Hotty, I don't know who'd it'd be. It sort of makes me not sure what they're looking for. I highly, highly doubt they have much of a strategy beyond "f*** small guys and workrate, we want big, muscular dudes." This is a move back to the 2004-2005 style talent like Luther Reigns and Heidenreich.

For backstage hires, Regal would be an amazing get for AEW, while Road Dogg would be one of the all time worst.

So just as I thought thought they're getting rid of Hunter's boys Yup. Wouldn't be shocked if this is due to the ratings cratering with the rebrand. Because we all know that Johnny and Bruce will escape accountability for this rebrand being a disaster. Bruce especially because he oversees the new NXT. And its been nothing short of an abject failure when it comes to ratings.

Well Ogogo might have his own Heyman to make up for lack of mic skills if Regal is interested.

I think Regal's best potential role right now is as a mentor or advisor to some of the UK independents that are left. They took a big, big hit during the pandemic and after speaking out and nobody is better fit to help train some of these younger guys on how to respect the business without being a total schmuck.

This is incresingly becoming more evident that this is not really about developing new talent but simply using that as a cover to basically erase everything HHH built down there. And wasn't there a report months ago that this was basically Vince's goon squads goal was to usurp HHH out of power because they knew if he eventually took over they were f***ed and this wreeks of this just being a continuation of all of that.

Regal still has so much to offer. I'd love if AEW brought him in.

Road Dogg released Billy Gunn in AEW X-Pac a free agent HHH on the outs in NXT A DGeneration X Reunion that is ALL ELITE in 2021? Too bad Billy Gunn betrayed Cody They could have Cody replace the Triple H role

William Regal and Ace Steel feel like no-brainers for AEW if they're interested. Regal because he's great at what he does and Steel not just because he's a good trainer, but also he and Punk are still very good friends IIRC.
Road Dogg still sucks though.
