Yeah I think Seinfeld just used the products to be authentic, not because they were being paid. Exactly, Seinfeld often had too seek out product owners to get their permission to focus an episode around their product. In the case of Pez, it basically revived the brand Larry David said that straight-up product names are funnier than generic names. A mint falling into a surgery patient's stomach is funny, but a Junior Mint falling in is hilarious. One time they had to make up a name was George getting traded from the Yankees to "Tyler" Chicken. Tyson Chicken was in the script, but they objected to the "alcoholic chicken" line.

From raw or a ppv
they had Diet Mt. Dew bottles just sitting on the desk for multiple shows.
most of the time no one mentioned them...
one time they cut to Jerry Lawler shilling for it and taking a drink... and it he made the most obvious "OH MY GOD THIS IS DISGUSTING" face I've ever seen.

An attitude era RAW had Edge and Christian encountering an RC Edge machine, to which Edge replied "Now, more than ever, sodas rule!"

They mention about 87 times in Simpsons commentary that Breath Assure sent them a case and asked to be mentioned on the show. They never did but the line they came up with was “Did you hear Breath Assure gives you cancer?!”

How on Earth has this not been mentioned yet? Not sure if it's the same as it's more of a satire of product placement.

Most naughty one was in an Apple TV drama called Defending Jacob (Chris Evan’s first post Marvel role I think) in the first few episodes there’s an unlikeable character (convicted child molester from memory) who uses an android phone.

I give you the absolute winner. The 2003-2005 incarnation of Shop Til You Drop. Almost every round and every minute was sponsored or had blatant advertising on it.

Dude probably hadn’t drunk anything that wasn’t Coca-Cola since like the 80s.

The early 2000s wwe having to insert song lyrics into the middle of promos in the most cringiest ways possible.
Most notably Steph saying the bodies will hit the floor, and Trips saying "cocky, it's not bragging if you back it up".

Because of weird Canadian rules, some shows get simulcast. I'll try to explain. I have a channel called Fox on the TV and it'll show everything you'd see if you watched Fox in the US, but then certain programs it'll switch over to the Canadian broadcast and even though I haven't changed channels, I'm seeing the Canadian rights holders broadcast. Follow me?
This was when they decided to start digitally inserting products into shows. So I am watching Hell's Kitchen and they're doing the "scream at each other in the dorm" segment of the show and they have digitally inserted Mr. Sub subs onto a table. As though I believe these people on a cooking show in Las Vegas hopped on a plane, got a shitty sub available only in Canada, flew back and just let it lay on the table.

Welcome to the Walking Dead Universe, the post apocolypic hell hole where society has fallen and million of people are dead or zombies. Oh shit, it's a brand new Hyundai to use as a get away car....and another...and another.

Stuff like The Price is Right and Supermarket Sweep are basically "Product Placement: The TV Show". But damn it if they still aren't fun to watch. Especially for the crazy people that are like "this pack of 8 hotdogs has to cost 35 dollars"

in The West Wing you have very specific alcoholics. like they only drink Jim Bean or Absolute vodka.
and in the last season everyone drinks bottled water, to the point someone actually says "not tap"

the "I, Robot" movie... where Will Smith's character is wearing like brand new Chuck Taylor All Stars... despite it being the far future.
