Biggest takeaway from the Anniversary show is the prime spot ZSJ finds himself in. Coming back from a two-month break and being featured in the main event of such a big show as a Gaijin really shows how much they trust the guy.
On the NJC side of things, I’m actually surprised to see Ibushi back, and apparently so was he. Sounds like he’s not 100% yet by his own admission on IG, and his inclusion in these events seems to be earlier than he might feel comfortable with. I’m sure they asked him if he was ready to go, but still.

Okada (IWGP Champ) and Desperado (IWGP Jr Champ) nah you don't get buys
Master Wato though, obviously gets a buy.

Suzuki being carted to the back in the dog cage while ranting and raving and beating up that poor official stuck in there with him was hilarious. In kayfabe, how does that even work? Do they just load him into the equipment truck until the next show? Guessing they just wait until he is asleep to open the door. I know I wouldn't want to volunteer to do it a moment sooner.

Hopefully, he'll play it safe, which for him seems to mean only 4 bumps onto his head and neck.

I do appreciate how the byes didn't end up being the tip seeds and instead have some random weirdness, including a Young Lion.

There needs to be a wrestling tournament that's structured similarly to football tournaments like the FA Cup, where rather than a bracket, the draw is done round by round. Would create more suspense in kayfabe if wrestlers didn't know who their best opponent would be.
Kayfabing it would be a challenge as you couldn't do the actual draw live, but you'd have enough time to work it out backwards.

That could be an interesting gimmick, though yeah, you'd need to either rig it or like you say, not do it live, since the wrestlers would probably want time to prepare for certain opponents, plus you could end up with really lopsided brackets by pure chance.
