It always weirded me out even as a kid that the Tanners had fantastic jobs but all still lived crammed into that house. Between all four adults, they should have moved into a place like the Banks house.

Banks. Phil was a high powered corporate attorney before he became a judge. I see that, but at the same time. I'm thinking Regis and Kelly were bringing home more than Judge Ito Regis and Kelly is a nationally syndicated show, Wake Up San Francisco was just a local stations morning news even for a large market like the Bay Area. Maybe during Fuller House era it became bigger show but during the 90s, Banks made way more money. Unless Jesse was doing shady shit on the side with The Smash Club, it was probably barely profitable. It didn't even serve alcohol and probably filled with a bunch of high schoolers without money.

Danny Tanner was well off... but he wasn't "I have a professional house servant" rich like The Honorable Phillip Banks.

sitcoms often use the rent control excuse, I know it doesn't work in this situation but can't we just say that?

I'm surprised nobody pointed out that Phil had Carlton as a son. Carlton was all about investing. I don't know exactly what Phil invested in. But he was able to finance Ashley's "singing career" at one point. Didn't Hogan go broke doing that for his daughter?
Did they ever mention what Danny's wife did? He might of got a healthy settlement from the accident
