Also, i hope some day, we get some young hotshot defensive coordinators and they all realize..”Let’s just ditch the prevent defense”. Sean McDermott was supposed to be one of those lol Sick for Josh Allen and Davis. Even sicker to have to see KC continue. What a waste of their performances. Coaches should walk home

I don't know man. So many mixed emotions. I've lived through so many heartbreaking Bills losses my entire life that I don't know if my heart can physically take it anymore --- anxiety and high blood pressure can't make it easy. This was a great game and the offense played out of their minds and I'm sure I'll be back and enthusiastic as ever in September...but damn, damn this hurts. *sigh*...Go Bills. What a year you had. Your avatar being smug ass Baron Corbin is so appropriate as he’s a huge Chiefs fan.

The NFL can now be divided into two eras. Before that Bills vs. Chiefs game and after that Bills vs. Chiefs game.

I'd have said this had the Chiefs lost, it hurts the most because those were blatantly the 2 best teams.

Maaaaaaaaaaan, I hate that the NFC Chamlionship game is two team playing for the right to get stomped by KC. I also hate that one of my teams is in that game, so I’m rooting for the right to get a second stomping. Fml

No mixed emotions here, I bet 300 large against them, always do with NY teams. NY endless failure parade has given me a nice fat wallet. I can buy the Knicks and Jets not winning anything again, but just you wait, we'll get another Yankess Dynasty.

I think in the playoffs OT should be played like one quarter. I hate the college OT rules too that needs to be changed.

The Chiefs wanted a change to OT rules after 18...the Bills opposed it, you get what you get

There have been some excellent Divisional Playoff games over the years. This weekend was the best set of Divisional Playoff games in one season that I have ever seen. All four games came down to the last play. That Buffalo-KC game was an absolute banger and that last six minutes of game time was unreal. BTW the OT rule should definitely be amended. Don’t see why the College Football OT rules shouldn’t be put in to the NFL.

The years of favoring the offense with rule changes on top of the offensive games evolution has slowly broken the NFL's overtime. I'm not getting paid enough to suggest how to fix it, but I can tell you the current format needs to be updated. A game shouldn't be decided on a coin flip.

I agree that the OT needs to be changed to be more like the college game OT. For regular season overtimes, I'd do just one possession for each team. You start at the 50 yard line, no kickoffs, whoever wins the coin toss gets to pick going first or second AND they pick which direction to go in. Both teams get one drive, normal '10 yards for a first down' rules, no game clock but there will be a 40 second play clock. Whatever points you get, you get. The same amount of points scored by both teams means the game ends in a tie. Any turnover ends your turn immediately. The league would like the fact that OT is shorter and therefore safer (especially with no kickoffs in OT.)
As for playoff overtime, I'm fine with the 'game starts all over again' ideal, but BOTH teams must get the ball at least once, even after a touchdown is scored by the coin toss winners.

How about: play defense?
KC had chances in '19 and failed to make a stop on 3(!) separate 3rd and 10 situations. Reid somehow didn't have the instinct to call timeout when the defense was absolutely gassed/
Yesterday: Buffalo simply had to hold them off for 13 seconds. Instead of forcing KC to field the ball, they kick it out of the end zone like blithering asses. THEN they opt to rash 4 and leave Kelce single covered when everyone in Arrowhead and even me on my couch KNEW what was coming.
Like, I know I sound like a dick, but you get what you deserve

You know when I knew Buffalo was f***ed? It wasn't the coin toss. It was when they kicked the ball out of the end zone with 13 seconds left.
To his credit, Tony Romo wisely caught on to it. By no means do you squib kick the ball, but kickers these days are so accurate with their kickoffs that they can pretty much pinpoint where they want the ball to go, like a golfer with a short iron.
Tyler Bass should've put that kickoff inside the 10 and forced a return, which would've taken at least five seconds off the clock. Considering Byron Pringle's lone kick return on Sunday night went for 26 yards, let's say he replicates that. That would've given Kansas City the ball at their own 35(ish) with roughly 7 or 8 seconds left in the game. There's no way they get three plays off in that window. It would've been one play to get in field goal range, and if that fails, then it's a Hail Mary or lateral play until the final whistle.

For all the whining about the OT rules, it should NEVER have gotten there. Dollar store Bill Burr and his staff on the sidelines dropped the ball.

I can only speak for myself but I believe Buffalo screwed themselves AND the overtime rules blow goats. I was just reminded of that watching the game.
Which for the record I think this was the best slate of games I've ever seen. None of the games had a similar story outside of having walkoff scores. 4 unique crazy ass games.

Re: the idea of adopting college OT rules… Personally I’m not crazy about college OT being effectively 25-yard drills, until a certain point where it becomes 2-point plays only. But I do like both teams getting equal opportunities to score, plus the required 2-point TD conversions after the 2nd (or 3rd) possession. Keep it a regular football game while adopting those two rules from college, and I’d be happy.

Hell, is even take limiting it to two possessions each and then calling it a tie in the regular season.
