Meh.
The only thing that could've made me remotely interested in Zayn and Owens again is if they showed up in AEW.

He was the star of possibly the best match of the Thunderdome era, so Iām pleased.

Good for Sami. And good for me, personally, as i wouldn't see him in AEW.

Been one of the few people and characters that haven't been butchered by WWE
Though I will say, them giving him shitty generic rock music instead of world's apart was a f***ing travesty, and he should have made it a clause in his new deal to get it the f*** back...

I HEAVILY disagree, he made it feel annoying, he made it feel pompous. One of my favorite heel Zayn moments is when he was dancing to it right in Shane McMahon's face

He's sort of sneaky been one of their most prominent characters for a couple of years now. So it's no surprise really. Yeah. I don't think he'd be in a bigger spot in AEW than he is in WWE, same with Owens. Sami and Owens are consistently in angles, and consistently get television time every week. Owens is in the high-card and main event tier, and Sami is basically the top mid carder on Smackdown and could easily slide into high-card and main event.

Sami is in a similar spot to Kevin to where he had everything to gain by re-signing, in a way.
If they gave him more money, odds are, a lot of prominence will go with that, and he's been doing well for himself.
If they fire him, he could basically just wait out his no compete and walk right into virtually any wrestling company.
He's not someone who had a lot of risk here, so, it makes a ton of sense.

Sami Zayn and Bayley are two examples of people I thought should always be faces, but have both excelled as heels.

Sami Zayn and Bayley are two examples of people I thought should always be faces, but have both excelled as heels. Theyāre also two people who became heels because they were buried six feet under as faces which is the ultimate in double edged sword with these things.

I mean they're kinda where Chris Jericho is whenever he made a return to the WWE. regardless of what it is they are always doing SOMETHING... they're not waiting in catering or the we need someone to job in five minutes types. They are around doing something even if that something isn't entirely important in the long run,

Sami spoke more about his decision to re-sign. I get what heās saying and hey, always said there were likely people happy in WWE. I think the core issue is that when you have a bunch of people over the space of two years especially saying the same things over and over again about the environment and very few people actually being able to cope in said environmentā¦itās time to change the environment. Itās great Sami feels good there but he also shouldnāt be an outlier.

It did make me kind of laugh a bit when I read that headline about Samiās statement right next to headlines from Kofi talking about how ājadedā heās felt concerning his booking over the years at times and from Balor talking about going back to NXT originally because he was just fed up with the main roster bullshit.
