The true greats innovate. Jericho the suit wearing sociopath was so influential it destroyed a generation of heels

my problem with the actual save us return was they purposely ruined it for no real reason...
like right before they were doing the return... they had him clothesline someone before cutting to commercial... instead of just waiting the 5 minutes and having him come out to the actual SAVE_US stuff...
I'll go with 2014 was basically just proving Jericho could get almost anything over...
SRS Jericho was cool because you never see a legend come back and completely tear down everything that made them popular... and it mostly worked but I think it went on a bit too long and well... then you got a shitload of imitators that didn't have the charisma level, wit and backlog of goodwill of Jericho to make it work.

That last run he had was great but I’ve got to vote for that initial ‘07 return too. I don’t care if it initially was a flop, I loved the “save_us” stuff. Also the product felt f***ing dreadful at the time so Jericho coming back felt needed and like a breath of fresh air. I even liked his save_us tights haha His return in 2007 is what got me watching again after the Benoit incident. Also think his return vignettes in 2007 led to me going from lurker to actual board member here, I joined October 2007.

The only return I witnessed was 2012. I was pretty hyped and liked the initial 'not saying anything', but the feud with Punk was mediocre, and at times flat out stupid.
I liked what I saw of SRS Jericho in retrospect and the heel turn and change of character was very well done and made sense. I can see why it's looked at fondly.

2007-2010. It had some of his best work. I love how his heel turn was built up, that they had him constantly antagonize Shawn Michaels over faking a leg injury, and then you could pinpoint the Heel turn when his voice became monotone. I think that the SRS Jericho run is one of the best heel runs ever. The Ladder Match he had with Shawn Michaels is the best ladder match I've ever seen.

Whenever that was he kept coming out for like 3 weeks and not saying anything.
That was the hardest I can remember laughing at something wrestling related
