Meltzer is reporting that he'll be at Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania. They didn't have a program finalized by the Rumble which is why he kind of was just there and didn't really shoot an angle with anyone. Damn. I say give Theory the match just so Theory can beat his ass. He's one guy who needs the push and Shane doesn't need to be working with any of these others. Guess we're still in the "Tough Shane Era", ugh.

Austin Theory vs. Shane McMahon to determine Vince's "real son". Theory wins, becomes Austin McMahon, all so they can promote the Raw after Wrestlemania as being main evented by "#AustinMcMahon" Vince actually leaves his company to Austin Theory when he dies...

That Shane producer story did seem a bit fishy; the whole weekend all I saw was how hands on Vince was with the men's Rumble, even more so than usual, then suddenly it's all Shane's fault when it has a bad reception?

Meltzer: "The stories about negativity toward (Shane) McMahon regarding the men's match are pretty accurate."

He's now gone from the company. I'm not sure what to think at this point.

He's now gone from the company. I'm not sure what to think at this point. God, I hope so. I'm not going to say Shane's a bad person or anything, but he's honestly my least favorite person in the company when he's on TV. I'm glad they might not be wasting Seth Rollins on that bozo.

Sometimes it's hard to remember what's a good source and what isn't.

Not to defend Shane, but there seems to be a lot of traditional WWE scapegoating going around.
They do this a lot, anything to shift the blame off of Vince and co.

You're probably right, I just have no interest in seeing Shane anymore. He's getting airtime that actual superstars could benefit from. For example, when Aleister Black was still in WWE there was a period when creative had nothing for him. But during that time Shane was crammed down our throats.

The buck still stops with Vince, so he gets the blame for approving any dumb ideas his son comes up with. And also for not telling him his strikes still look like f***ing shit.

I don't mind Shane McMahon. He comes out on the losing end of his feuds since he has been back in recent years except for the Miz one. That said, I wasn't looking particularly forward to another Wrestlemania match with him. At this point in his career and age, he should just be doing special appearances like the Rumble (and I guess not booking them anymore) or reunion shows.

So now Ringside News reporting Shane has been quietly “let go”/sent home due to the Rumble heat he caused. Wild.
