I like that Lita is getting a focused big deal match against Becky in theory. Lita and Becky are both all-time greats. The problem is, Lita showed atrophied ability back in 2018 when she and Trish came back for a few matches that year, and those were all in multi-person matches (The Rumble, Evolution, and the one on Raw). And while I wasn't watching the Women's Rumble that closely this year, I've heard she was noticeably a bit off there, too. Trish ended her career in an all-time classic women's match against Charlotte in 2019 at SummerSlam. We are clearly not going to get a match of that caliber, but I hope they can pull through and have a decent match.

I'm not too sure who Roman will face here. Maybe face Drew or Goldberg to do the match that was cancelled 2 years ago.
I've wanted Brock in a chamber match for years. I just hope it's an actual match with him and not just him coming out at the end and easily killing everyone in 2 minutes like the Rumble.
It's about time we got female legends/part-timers in actual marquee spots occasionally and not just quick cameos. We've seen it for decades with the men but other than maybe Trish v Charlotte at Summerslam and Nikki v Ronda at Evolution it rarely happens for women. After Becky v Lita, give me stuff like Trish v Sasha, Molly v Nikki (ASH), Nikki (Bella) v Rhea, Melina v Zelina and so on.

It's just that most of the division of her time was that much worse, it made her look like a workrate machine in comparison. And with spending most of the last 15 years in retirement other than scattered one-shot things, she's probably fallen a long way from even that level, even if her commitment to trying to have the best match possible will be beyond question.

After no singles matches in over 15 years, how rough she's looked in her brief tag/Rumble matches lately and now booked in a world title match that will probably have to be 10-15 minutes (even her best match ever v Trish on Raw was only like 8-9 minutes) it will be a tough ask. Although Goldberg of all people had an entertaining match at the last Saudi show so maybe Lita will be the one to surprise everyone this time. I'm not too sure who Roman will face here. Maybe face Drew or Goldberg to do the match that was cancelled 2 years ago. Honestly just do the Roman/Goldberg match. Roman wins. Goldberg is sad π talks about retirement, but Big E interrupts and says NO! I'm NEXT...AT MANIA! Him getting a title shot would at least make a bit of sense this time since the last time we saw him he got a big win over the current WWE champion, compared to last year when he showed up on the back of 2-3 straight defeats and still got the shot just because.

Here is something else to consider, the show is scheduled for 12 pm eastern time on Saturday, February 19th. Considering the travel needed time to get from the United States to Saudi Arabia, Smackdown is either going to be a taped show, or a show consisting of just the skeleton crew. Also, Elimination Champion may just be Raw heavy enough to where very few Smackdown brand matches will be on the show.
Will Roman even be at Elimination Chamber if he's on go home Smackdown?

By the looks of things, the 2/18 Smackdown will be taped (probably on 2/11 in New Orleans), as there isn't one listed on that day on their upcoming schedule.

So has the Fox Network agreed to finally allow WWE to air a taped show? If so, smart move. Remember the fiasco years ago when the flight from Saudi got delayed, forcing WWE to scrabble at the last minute by sending over NXT talent to fill the show.

Becky vs. Lita is likely happening because both of them want to have a match and they need a big name opponent for the Saudi show.

Austin Theory in there feels very much like Randy Orton in the Summerslam 2003 chamber match. Still a work in progress and heβs obviously not winning but giving him the rub/experience early on because they expect big things from him down the line.

Giving Theory another showcase performance in the chamber before heβs eliminated would be the way to go imo.

If they are serious about Shane vs Theory at 'mania, then giving Austin a solid 5 plus minutes with the biggest workhorse on the roster makes sense. They should have given Theory a lot more PPV match time if the plan was always for him to face Shane O'Mac.

Lita's legacy wasn't so much measured in 5 star match quality* but in the fact she pretty much helped smash the ceiling in place for women in the WWE at the time. "Take a Guerrero powerbomb on the floor?" Fine. "Wrestle Dean Malenko?" Awesome. "Get involved in a ladder match and take full on bumps?" Brilliant. She dived head first into every potential male only zone on the roster, she was as vital to womens wrestling as Trish was to the actual nuts and bolts of it, and it's no surprise she inspired a whole bunch of the new generation, because the girls I knew who liked wrestling at the time pretty much universally adored her. She may be considerably past her best, but she'll no doubt dive into this match with Becky head first. *Although I maintain she had some really good matches with Ivory, her chemistry with Trish is obviously famous, and her match with Stephanie was far better than it had any right to be.

That's a good way of putting it, and I'd even go as far as to say her Moonsault finish was emblematic of her career. It was certainly not the greatest execution of the move you will find, but no other woman was even attempting anything like that in the US mainstream TV wrestling scene.

I'll feel dirty AF after, but I think I'm actually going to watch this show for Lita vs. Becky. I'm glad they're finally having their match with each other, because they've both been wanting it for years. Becky even eliminated Lita from the first women's Rumble, maybe they can also bring that up.

I don't think Brock will win this one either, as I can see Roman/Usos/Heyman somehow interfering to screw Brock again as they don't want to see him as a champion.
I'd like to see either Bobby retain or AJ win it.

Brock winning would be the worst case scenario imo.

Brock winning would be the worst case scenario imo. It's probably going to be between Rollins and Brock. I can't see any of the others winning, and my guess is Riddle will be the first dude eliminated, due to him not exactly being on the best of terms with Beastie Boy.
