I recall the last time Seth Rollins had the belt being a pretty good reign.
Heck him vs. Miz was the only GOOD match at Backlash 2018.

Rollins at the IC level in 2018 basically got people to believe in him as a main event babyface, which is why I’m always a bit baffled when we turn around and say he can’t be one. 90% of it is the writing, and we blame that every other f***ing time.

There was also that ladder match at Greatest Royal Rumble and a really good open challenge defense against KO. Hell, he even defended it against Jinder and Mojo Rawley.

That looks better on paper than what it was in reality. The Miz had 5 or 6 title defenses in 350+ days as champion. Ryback reign was a lol. Same with Ryder. They botched Bad News Barrett big. Cut Harper wings. Still better than today, sure. To be fair, between those “5 or 6” defenses were some fire promos about how stupid it was that he wasn’t getting booked in more title matches.
