I stopped watching it after Ali and Murphy left it. I was a huge fan of the show. Ali, Murphy,Powerpoint Drew Gulak, Neville, Akira Tozawa and Cedric were so enjoyable to watch. At a time it was probably my favourite WWE show to watch. And now most are gone.
The show should have been used like a proper stepping stone and developement just like NXT but most just fell to the wayside and 205 just stopped meaning anything.

It was WWE's best show for awhile but it cratered when Enzo Enzoed. And having weight divisions in wrestling has always been a stupid idea anyway.

Falls 21 episodes short of equaling the number of episodes made of WCW Monday Nitro.

It's about time, honestly. I haven't cared about it since Vince was running it... as weird as that sounds to say. I know not all the gimmicks from that time would necessarily be considered tasteful now (not that they were even then), but I still miss Ultimate Sleazeball Noam Dar (who wanted to f*** a pizza), Powerpoint Gulak, and Daivari Dinero.

When I think about it, the first cracks in 205 Live were when Titus was made Tozawa's manager and stole his "HAH! HAH! HAH!" crowd-participation thing.

They should have kept Akira and Apollo together with Titus as their manager. Would have made for a great tag team and far more interesting than anything Crews has done on his own and far better than chasing the 24/7 title around with a group of ninjas.

Yeah, Titus managing him wasn't the problem. Having Titus steal Tozawa's crowd participation schtick (which was starting to get over) was. But whenever someone who isn't who Vince wants to push starts getting something over, he tries to transfer it to someone else instead (Big Show using the 'YES' chant).

The Cedric, Ali and Buddy era is my favorite they were just putting on bangers almost on a weekly basis. Hell! Metalik and Dorado were fantastic in ring at that time too!

I was shocked to learn that 205 Live is dead and as of tonight, they are taping a new show called NXT Level Up. 205 Live has been knocking on death's door for a few years. In fact in 2019, I thought it was over and started compiling the entire W/L Records & History of 205 Live just in case it ended, but then like the Undertaker it came back from the dead. Guys like Mustafa Ali, Buddy Murphy, Tony Nese, Drew Gulak, Ariya Daivari, Akira Tozawa & countless others had amazing matches on the show, but then were treated like crap when they got moved to the main roster. They released several wrestlers & then started rebuilding it with guys like August Grey, Curt Stallion, & Ari Sterling. Then, they were also released & the Cruiserweight Title was dropped, as it became NXT's version of Main Event. It wasn't good at certain times as some wrestlers shouldn't be on TV, but those talents continue to develop & learn. I stopped watching it live all together because it wasn't the 205 Live that I loved, but now that it has officially been re-named, I will watch it again live on Friday. Also, if I want to watch it on Demand, I have to watch it on Hulu & they have Raw recaps in the middle of it. The 1st 3 Matches on 205 Live on November 29, 2016 were The Bollywood Boyz VS Drew Gulak & Tony Nese, Jack Gallagher VS Ariya Daivari, & Rich Swann VS Brian Kendrick. The last 3 matches on February 11, 2022 were Ikemen Jiro VS Trick Williams, Erica Yan VS Lash Legend, & Xyon Quinn VS Joe Gacy. What a run. I guess I will finally finish that project now.

While I've been a fan of 2.0 so far, part of me would've been super excited to hear about NXT having an official 2nd show a few years ago! Would've been fun for them to record matches when they were doing NXT house shows and showcasing the younger talent on the 2nd show. While having the established roster on the main NXT show.

Prepare for LVL UP. I’m either losing my mind or out of touch or both but I kinda like the logo.
