It's not exactly clear at all which title will continue after Wrestlemania.
So which one do you think WWE will pick to continue after the unification match?
With Roman's record breaking Universal title reign, I think they go with that one.

Both. Come MitB, the WWE Title will be taken off Roman via a cash-in, and I wouldn't bet against that dude being Edge.

I’m guessing they call it a unification match but they actually have a Becky two belts situation and Roman (or Brock) loses the Raw title a month or two later.

The universal one, then a year later they'll make up a new belt to replace the old WWE one.

That was not billed as a title unification though. They are trying to drive home the fact this is unifying both titles now of course they will weasle their way out of it...because of course they will. But for OP's question I would expect they keep the Universal title because it is the one Roman has spent 500+ days of misery booking carrying around and ditch the WWE title....and also it would be a way for them to have Roman disrespect The Rock by ditching the title he introdouced.

Merge and acknowledge both.

Yes I know the billing is different but I’m saying in practice I think they’ll have him carry around both belts and then lose one.

It’d be absolutely idiotic to get rid of the WWE title lineage.
Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Mick Foley, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Seth Rollins, etc.
If they’re so desperate to push Roman as a “GOAT” that is the history you want to reference.

I predict a draw, DQ or countout.

I predict a draw, DQ or countout. WWE isn't dumb enough to end their biggest PPV of the year with a wet fart finish. The company is dumb, but not that dumb.

I don't want them to merge.
Let him defend both.

It's the WWE Championship.
There's no way they'd get rid of it in favor of a title that hasn't even been around for 6 years yet.

They'll unify then into the WWE and then make another new world title in a few years. They already did that after Cena and Orton unified their belts in 2014 and then they made the universal

Yeah they’ve done this same dance twice before. Vince wants a brand split, they create a new title. Then in a few years he gets tired of it, they unify, then a few years after that he decides they need two belts and a brand split again, etc.
He has a pattern with so many things.

It's gonna be a two belts situation, I assume, even though I think the Universal Title has been a curse since it's been debuted. And it never really got any better looks wise (Even if Blue is better than the McDonalds ass lookin Fruit Rollup that it was on RAW)

Neither: the simple act of merging the belts will trigger a time-space anomaly that replaces both belts’ lineages with the World Class title’s.

WWE retired the World Tag Team Championship in favor of a lineage that was only eight years old at that point, and a lineage that starts with a team that they can only acknowledge half of. I can see them retiring the WWE Championship because like WrestleMania being numbered and the gray hair of the coaches, the long lineage would be another reminder to Vince of the passage of time.
