We all know stories about how wwe has screwed over talent or whatever but what about guys that wwe has taken care of or guys that would be absolutely stupid to leave wwe?
Some I can think of are Ric Flair, AJ Styles, and Eddie Guerrero

James Dudley was on the payroll till he died. The McMahon family took care of him.
Who would be "stupid" to leave? Sami and Kevin. They're in good spots and are always used, they probably wouldn't be in a better spot in AEW and wouldn't get as much money.

Jinder Mahal. Just bringing him back in 2016 would have been enough.

Being blunt, Ric Flair probs would be a lot worse off than he is now if he didnāt have HHH and, subsequently, WWE behind him for damn near two decades

WWE and Triple H have done a lot to whitewash Ric Flair's lasting legacy in spite of Ric Flair doing so much to single-handedly sabotage their efforts.

Regal was rehired once or twice when his alcoholism made him a liability on the road and planned pushes were aborted. They kept giving him chances until he recovered. Being buds with HHH didnāt hurt but this was attitude era, long before trips was in a position of power.

I mean Charlotte...
I can't imagine any company forcing her into the centerpiece of their division constantly despite there being better or more over options...

William Regal and MVP have credited WWE with them being alive at all at least once, so there's that. Regal for them helping him get sober, MVP, due to wellness checks catching his heart condition early and averting disaster.
WWE is stumbling with him, but Damien Priest is still a good deal better off than he was a Punishment Martinez.
Indirectly, but even people who left WWE on negative or bittersweet circumstances do often find themselves in a better bargaining position than they would be in otherwise. Cody Rhodes, for instance, was paid better in NJPW than the Young Bucks were even at their peak since, well, former WWE. That carries weight, especially after Chris Jericho got their NJPW World numbers up enough to command 100k per match. I am more hesitant to count that since it isn't like WWE did such people a favor, exactly. They put the work in, but WWE did still give them a platform to do it with.

Given his horrible world views and opinions, Ultimate Warrior was essentially given the martyr treatment by WWE just before but especially after his death.

MVP probably praises that medical in 2007-ish every day of his life.
I mean, I don't know if they still are (I presume they are?) but a few years ago Droz was interviewed and the WWE were still financially supporting him so he could still do much as he could. I know he was paralysed in a WWF ring, but that was 20 years later and the "we'll look after you" promise will still apparently being held.
Henry Godwinn was signed by WWE as a trainer/wrestler for Deep South for about 18 months solely because they heard he was depressed because his son and 2 other family members (iirc) had died within the same year.

Jim Neidhart. They rehired him several times , at least once as a a favor to Stu Hart. And I'll try and say this nicely...but with Nattie on the roster (and especially since his tragic passing) he was treated as a bigger star than he probably was

I disagree she would've gotten over on her and overa is a better package than a lot of women wrestlers in either company. Her being a Flair gave her a tiny boost over her talents though I can admit

A lot of the old timers who worked for Vince Sr.
I believe the story goes that Vince Jr. was made to promise to look after them as condition, unofficially, of his dad selling.
Moolah and Mae Young, who ever even worked for Vince when she could work, likely come in to this too.

Her being a Flair gave her a tiny boost over her talents though I can admit She definitely has talent and a lot going for but certainly not enough to warrant being perennially in the main event picture and title scene for nearly a decade. Honestly I don't know if anyone would be deserving of the push and treatment she's got. Also while she's over she isn't THAT over. Like Becky, Sasha, and Alexa all blow her out of the water. I don't even know if Charlotte would even crack the top ten for overness/popularity of the women on the roster.

Vickie Guerrero. Her husband dies unexpectedly in 2005 and Vince takes care of her, then allows her to find an on-screen role and thrive. Vickie made a career in the business on her own the last 15 years.
I get after Vince for a lot he is (or isn't) doing in 2022, but he did take care of Vickie and the Guerrero family.
